A clueless, condescending, and tone-deaf RINO DC-insider?

How on earth did that happen?

Vote for anyone except Ryan—Even the Democrat.

Ryan is clueless and not that smart. If you ever really looked at that supposed brilliant budget he put together several years ago that would balance the budget in 10 years it was unimpressive. He’s no economic wizard.

Ryan is a part-timer, not at all committed to solving real issues.

"I’m going to defend conservatism as I understand it,” Ryan told Harwood.

Increasingly there are not enough voters who agree with that to fill Madison Square Garden.

Like some modern Marie Antoinette, Ryan seems to be utterly clueless about the state of the nation, and utterly condescending towards the voters he needs to keep his job, according to his answers in the interview with CNBC interviewer John Harwood.

“Then he made clear that he’s going to fight Trump’s populist pitch. “I’m going to speak my mind.”

Ryan has a mind?

Ryan showed his true colors in the 2012 election debates. Couldn’t even hold his own against old man Biden!

This is all you need to know about what we are dealing with:

“I’m going to speak my mind. I’m going to defend conservatism as I understand it,” Ryan told Harwood.

They know nothing about it.

The donor-establishment class gets a hold of guys like Ryan early, so they can mold and coddle them.

They prop them up and make them invincible, no doubt filling their heads with the idea of their own brilliance and mastery. The donor-establishment class promises to support them, and probably guarantees them 'reelection in perpetuity,' and all the power they could ever want.

All of this is validated by other pols, most of whom have experienced, to some degree, the magic touch of the donor-establishment class.

That's where the chip-on-the-shoulder comes from. We saw it with Rubio, Boehner, even Kasich, and many others. Now Ryan is the new golden boy.

When Kasich made his ridiculous victory speech (after winning his home state as a sitting governor! and making it sound like the WH is his next stop), that ridiculousness comes from the people who prop Kasich up, whisper in his ear and tell him how great he is. In a week or a month, the donor-establishment class will toss him out like an old newspaper.

"I’m going to defend conservatism as I understand it..."

Very telling when these arrogant bastards have to qualify every statement they make.

His words would carry more weight if he simply stated "I’m going to defend conservatism."

How quickly he corrupted himself. He was great during Obama’s first term. He was the only GOPer out there putting it in Obama’s face. Then, after the abominable performance with the Clown chief Biden debate it all went to hell. Something in him broke when he hitched up to Romney. He allowed Biden to walk all over him when a firm “Hey, I’m talking, halte die Fresse” would have shut the clown king up for a few seconds to make his point. Now. Ryan is signing off on Obama spending and keeping the revolution fully funded.
