"... Carl’s Jr. CEO wants to try automated restaurant where customers ‘never see a person’

Without a doubt this will be a boutique location in some venue like Universal City Walk in Hollywood, the Las Vegas Strip, or a big theme park's commercial business area.

If they instead plant this near in a random urban location with a room with sit-down tables indoors or out you can bet the customers will see a lot of police officers instead of the 'never see a person' idea. It wouldn't take a week before you see the hijinks of the wisdom of an unsupervised Carl's Jr on YouTube or WorldStar.

Are there a lot of fast food restaurants in “random urban locations”? I thought those were “food desserts” for a reason.
