Trump needs to win 55% of the remaining delegates to win outright, Cruz beats him in head to head and closed primaries. Trump is a craven showboat that refuses to debate real issues at any depth and has the highest negatives of any candidate in modern history. If Trump does not win a majority of delegates, Cruz can make a strong case that he ought to be the nominee. So absolutely no way should Cruz drop out.
Good points.
“Trump needs to win 55% of the remaining delegates to win outright, Cruz beats him in head to head and closed primaries.”
Has the RNC called for Cruz to drop out?
I don’t think so. They don’t think they can beat Trump one on one.
Trump had more votes in Florida than Rubio and Cruz combined, and it was a closed primary. Thus your hypothesis is disproved.
If you care to go find it, late last night eric bolling (sp) on Fox held up the math on a white board. It was eerie the way it worked out. According to his math, if Trump picked up exactly 49% of the remaining delegates, it came out to exactly 1237.
