I can tell you that I firmly believe Trump will never get over the things Cruz has said about him.

I don't agree. I think that underneath the bluster and bombast, Trump is more than capable of being quite pragmatic and forgiving, if it suits his purposes.

Chris Christie said some pretty unpleasant things about him, and he was forgiven and welcomed to the team almost overnight.

I have watched Trump for years.
He holds a grudge. It is possible that he could be pragmatic BUT I REPEAT..he holds a grudge.

It would be like Reagan/Bush.

Yup politicians say nasty things about each other all the time.

Trump wants to unify the party and bring its conservative base on board.

A unified party is necessary to defeat Hillary in the fall.

Burying the hatchet is a good way to begin and Trump doesn’t want an extended primary battle.
