No. Cruz doesn’t bring the votes needed. Supreme Court would be better, provided he doesn’t get Borked.
Good point. What electoral votes does Cruz bring that Trump doesn’t already have?
If Trump becomes president he could still nominate Cruz for SCOTUS. Taking Cruz out of the race releases a lot of delegates. If Cruz endorses Trump, that would probably checkmate the GOPe.
He’s never been a judge...why give this guy, with a penchant for lying...a seat on the SCOTUS?
His resume does not qualify him for SCOTUS.
He should go back to the Senate and try to do his job without pissing off everyone there.
After Cruz’s debacle regarding the Chicago melee, “OH HELL NO!”
He’s not fit to sit on the SCOTUS.
As to USSCt, that would require...Senate confirmation. I’m thinking Ted’s chances in any position requiring Senate confirmation are pretty slim.
Cruz’ Constitutional “expertise” is nil, since he thinks a kid born to a foreign national father in a foreign country is a natural born citizen. Or that he’s so speshul it’s okay he’s not NBC.
Actually there is a conversation he is quoted as having wherein he described a NBC as “born on US soil to two citizen parents”, in 2012.
He should fade into obscurity.
Actually Cruz brings lots of conservative votes to the ticket which Trump needs. Trump has a swath from the other demographics. The only thing Cruz doesn’t bring is many GOPE votes, he will bring some but not that many. More importantly Cruz brings a ground game to the ticket which Trump needs because the RNC is going to be as useless as tits on a boar because they have been castrated by a Trump nomination and possible presidency. The GOPE will take their marbles and go home after years of lecturing conservatives about being team players and voting for their beloved Party.
