msn.com, nytimes.com, aol.com et al hit by malware-injecting banners
Top-flight US online publishers are serving up adverts that attempt to install ransomware and other malware on victims' PCs.
Websites visited by millions of people daily msn.com, nytimes.com, aol.com, nfl.com, theweathernetwork.com, thehill.com, zerohedge.com and more are accidentally pushing out booby-trapped adverts via ad networks, warn infosec researchers.

My wife got hit with some “Blue Screen” malware. She found the Microsoft malicious software removal tool, and ran it and cleaned up her system. (Not bad for a gal who claims to no nothing about computers, but I know she is smarter than she thinks she is!).
I just purchased 4 sets of Malwarebytes along with their Anti-exploit software. Not sure if I really needed the anti-exploits or not but the “Blue Screen” thing kinda scared me. We each have Surface Pros and Desktop computers ... I suppose like everyone else, the days of the one family computer are long gone.
