Cruz lost a lot of voters starting with the shenanigans in Iowa (Tweeting that Carson was leaving the race). The "Lyin' Ted" moniker fits.
Just about everybody we know now were former Cruz supporters, now planning to vote for Trump.
That really showed his lack of fortitude and political expedience rather than standing and fighting. His mouth became a shoe.
