Sen. Ted Cruz has vowed to support GOP front-runner Donald Trump if he secures the Republican nomination -- but he has one condition.
"I can give you one example where I would no longer support Donald Trump. If for example, he were to go out on Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, I would not be willing to support Donald Trump," Cruz said today at a press conference in Rockford, Illinois.
Cruzs reference is to when, back in January, Trump joked at a campaign rally in Sioux Center, Iowa, that his supporters would stand behind him even if he shot someone.

I thought that was mildly amusing in a sardonic way. The Trump people on this forum are getting a bit too uptight.

The GOPe is going to screw Ted at the convention as well. They should join forces and take down the whole party. They should do it for the people.

“Cruz attempt at humor probably isnt going to go well.”
Well, Trump did say he could shoot someone and not lose any support.

Once again Cruz uses his brilliant humor to diminish his chief.
The master of this was Reagan.
Hands down Cruz is the best candidate to take beat Hillary.

Well, of course.
Besides...it's usually considered bad form to support Presidential candidates that go around shooting people. Gratuitous, senseless violence, and all that, don'cha know? ;-)

Cruz seems to be laying one bombed “joke” after the other. If you are not a naturally relaxed, funny person .. don’t even try!

Names the States he would beat her in to win the nomination? I see the Whole North going Clinton, Maryland , Virginia , North Carolina , Ohio , Michigan , Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois , Washington , Oregon, Colorado and California
I am sure I left a few out like Florida.
Show me where how he wins?

Im sorry to see Cruz say this. I was never a big fan anyway, but Ill no longer support him. Theres no earthly way Id support anyone who says he will vote for Trump.
He signed a document binding him to support the nominee. All of them did. Looks like you're voting third party regardless.

Did this not come about because he was asked under what type of conditions he would not support Trump and the media then makes it the headline to cause upset? At times Trump people are just unhinged in there hatred and not thinking. It is a huge turn off to even considering him in the main election. There is nothing but emotion and that is scary when dems live that way. I never thought republicans could be so mindless.

Lying is a trait Trump supporters obviously find endearing. Curious that you wouldn’t support somebody you think is a liar. Should Ted become a serial adulterer? is that that the problem?

The Trump people on this forum are getting a bit too uptight.A bit? They are borderline unhinged, with the border five miles behind them. They love to toss around the Trump Derangement Syndrome tag. The people who suffer from TDS are not his opponents, they are his supporters. Their posts speak volumes.
