Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin did attend a Donald Trump campaign rally in Florida after all, a reversal of an announcement made by the campaign after learning Palin's husband, Todd, had been injured in a snowmobile accident.
The former Alaska governor, who has endorsed the Republican candidate, campaigned for the GOP presidential front-runner in The Villages, Florida, where she fired up the crowd attacking the protesters who have been showing up at Trump rallies. "What we don't have time for is all that petty punk-ass little thuggery stuff that's been going on with those quote-unquote protesters who are doing nothing but wasting your time and trying to take away your First Amendment rights, your rights to assemble peacefully," Palin said. "And the media being on the thugs' side what the heck are you guys thinking, media?"
The media and many of the other candidates are underestimating the wisdom of the people, Palin said. "You're smart, energized, optimistic, positive, and that's why you're here today."
Palin mentioned her husband's accident, saying that such life events force people to focus on spending their time on the things that are most important, "the time we have to spend on doing something so worthy, and that's getting Donald J. Trump elected president."
Scott Davis, Todd Palin's former snowmobile racing partner, said Monday that Palin's father, Jim, told him Todd was injured and in the hospital but would be OK.

No matter how we think or where we stand politically -— prayers up for the Palin family.
She knew her husband was fine. More faux outrage by the trump haters.
I liked Palin’s words. She’ll be back. The media (and Cruz) stand with the petty punk-ass thugs.
Donald told the crowd at his rally Todd had some broken ribs.
Could it be that Sarah has finally found someone worthy of being President to her as VP?
Yes, casual swearing by our “leaders” is all the rage. No pun intended.
Yeah. He’ll hurt for awhile but he was in no danger. If he was, she’d be there immediately.
What are the odds that is the last we hear from Sarah Palin?
Yes, let’s speak like a polished well rehearsed greasy politician. Because that’s really gotten our country far!! /sarc
If she stayed for the rally then obviously her husband’s injuries weren’t as serious as first reported. Which is something to be thankful for.
No one is categorized as “very serious” and put in ICU for sore ribs.
Great Americans
broken ribs from what I heard
Todd Palin’s father says his son, who’s married to Sarah Palin, suffered eight fractured ribs and other injuries in a snowmobile accident in Alaska.
Jim Palin tells The Associated Press in a phone
interview that his son also had injuries to his collarbone and lungs, but he doesn’t know the extent of those injuries. He says Todd Palin is scheduled for surgery Monday at a hospital near the Palins’ hometown of Wasilla.
He is hurt pretty bad according to his dad ,8 fractured ribs and possibly collarbone and lung injury, but they seem to think that he’ll be ok. My understanding is that her way home took her through Tampa. Having a hard time getting a good flight back on such short notice, I think.
There is another possibility on why Sarah chose to speak at the rally today after finding out about her husband, the flight to Alaska wasn’t until later in the day and she had nothing to do but wait. Sure she wanted to get there as soon as possible but when you are in Florida and Alaska is thousands of miles away, we are at the mercy of commercial aviation schedules.
Eight rib fractures, a collar bone injury of some sort and damage to the underlying lungs: I infer he impacted something on his right side. Had he impacted the left side hard enough to fracture that many ribs he’d probably have had a heart contusion or worse.
