Ohio is not open, it’s modified meaning Independents can vote but those registered with a party have to vote within that party.

Problem is, Ohio used to be closed and I’m not at all sure most Independents realize they can vote.

Better to say Ohio is OPEN to republicans and independents - they do not have to declare themselves republicans to vote, can keep independent status

This type of voter largely not being polled nor are the voters who are signing up to vote for the first time and many of them are doing so to vote for Trump
