“How do you get from there to “toeing the liberal line of attack that it’s all Trump’s fault”? “
Because Cruz then turned around and compared Trump to the racebaiting of Obama!
“Cruz also compared the “demagoguery” of Trump to President Obama, who he called “a world class demagogue” for his language “designed to divide us.” “
Cruz has a lot more in common with Obama than Trump does!
My original question was meant to be a question about process - how do you logically get to “all Trump’s fault” from what he said. I would ask you similarly how you get from “Cruz also compared the demagoguery of Trump to President Obama” to “Cruz has a lot more in common with Obama than Trump does!”? Both statements seem a bit of a stretch to me.
There’s no doubt that Trump is a populist. The logical leaps, tortured inferences and outright nasty name calling (yesh, yeah everyone does it) do little to assure me that Trump supporters are using anything but “feelz” in their decision-making process. That bugs me because that’s how we ended up with Obama.
