Your claims are incorrect. Trump has condoned violence against protesters on more than one occasion and has not walked it back, or claimed he was joking. Rather, when asked about it, he has changed the subject.

Thanks AB. This guy has been a real wet blanket today.

Too much important stuff to concentrate on in next 60 hours, to put up with which seems to be targeted at disrupting our best contributors.

You keep saying Trump has told people at his rallies to “punch protesters”.

Please point us to the posts where I wrote that. Exactly that and more than once, since you claim I keep posting that.

I am asking you do do that because your misquote is similar to what many Trumpbots do. They misquote. They change the subject and never debate honestly.

Are you doing the same thing?

To be honest exposing them to the purposely blind, is hard. And changing the hearts and minds of the protesters, how do you do that to a soulless group that was never educated in critical thinking, but rather indoctrinated to be emotional reactionaries, let your “leaders” do the thinking and guide you. We are in dark times for sure.

The leftist who was sucker punched by the 68 YO man was being led out of the arena, then he was sucker punched. That is not what you are claiming about these incidents.

I addressed it or did you fail to comprehend what I wrote about it?

And yes, Trump has condoned violence against the protesters.

He has condoned acting in self-defense. These are violent protesters who are trying to silence what Trump has to say. They don't like him talking about illegal aliens who perpetrate violence against millions of Americans, accepting Muslims from countries where we cannot verify who they are; bad trade deals that take jobs from America and erode our manufacturing base; a lying MSM, a political class that is owned by its corporate paymasters and special interests; the terrible treatment of our veterans; the useless waste of American lives by our political leadership who destabilized the ME by squandering away our victory in Iraq, and the failure to really use our power to eliminate ISIS.

The real violence is being instigated by the Left and the MSM who distort the facts. It is the Left which condones violence and uses rhetoric to inflame passions. Think Obama and Ferguson and Baltimore and Trayvon Martin and Professor Gates, etc. This has always been the case as we head towards the elections. The Left is trying to energize its base by stirring up racial, ethnic, and class differences. Bernie's one percent rhetoric and attacks on Wall Street are similar to the Occupy Wall street movement that sprung up prior to the 2012 elections. Now we have the BLM group that coordinates its activities with the WH and is praised by the Dems.

I assume you are a Cruz supporter who is trying to justify his remarks made against Trump blaming him for the Chicago demonstrations. You are a distinct minority on this thread. Why do you continue pushing your false narrative? No one is buying it here.

No, your claim is incorrect.

You ACT just like the Liberals I have encountered my entire life. The Left, like you, DEMAND that someone who has said something they do not like (but condone such talk by those they do) MUST refute or “walk it back”. No regard is given the context at all. Just the single words removed entirely from the context in what they were said to then use those words to condemn with false concern.

Harry Truman once publically threatened to punch a music critic in the nose for writing a bad review of his daughter. No one got morally indignant and demanded he “walk it back”.

What you have, my FRiend is a selective and false sense of moral outrage over the words Trump has spoken about these disruptors that continuously attempt to ruin the event Trump has paid for, which disruption in its own right is illegal.

I have only two questions for you:

1. Do you think Trump is asking/has asked his followers to beat up or physically attack these disruptors?

2. Are you outraged by that kind of talk?

No, that is not true. Trump said to hit or beat the protesters, and did not qualify it to only be applied to self defence. If you think I am wrong, then please post a link to a statement by Trump in one of his speeches that shows otherwise.

I addressed it or did you fail to comprehend what I wrote about it?

Your statement that I just quoted seems to say that you are claiming the 68 YO man was being attacked and hit by the protester he sucker punched. True or not? If I am not correct, please link to evidence proving otherwise.

Trump also said “He could shoot someone and his poll numbers would not go down.” Do you take him literally for this like the other fools on the left did? Do you think he is going to murder someone?

Alas, he was actually repeating a quote from an article in the NY Times and as usual, the Media tweaked to fit their agenda.

Sure, no problem.

Trump has condoned violence against protesters on more than one occasion

Here's one. Condone violence could be many things, including punch. You don't have to quibble over the words, since you used a broad category "condone violence" that fits.

Trump has created an environment that condones HIS SUPPORTERS attacking protesters.

...condones (look up word) violence by his supporters ATTACKING (punch, kick, hit, stab, shot, scream at...ad infinitum) protestors.

The one who was hit by the 68 YO man was being led out of the arena and the Trump guy sucker punched him.

THERE'S that word punch!

BTW, about the supporter who punched a protester: Trump didn't denounce him.

Punch again, you're on a roll. By Trump not "denouncing him, isn't that implying approval?

Nope. He was condoning.

Condone--means to approve.

Post 240: IREST MY CASE: But what has happened at Trump speeches is that he has told his followers to punch protesters, not for violence, but for protesting.

LOL. PLease. You are getting tiresome. Trump and his supporters are the targets of violence, not the instigators. They are reacting to provocateurs who are trying to stop the exercise of free speech inside Trump venues. Your statement that I just quoted seems to say that you are claiming the 68 YO man was being attacked and hit by the protester he sucker punched. True or not? If I am not correct, please link to evidence proving otherwise.

See my post #298.

I do not come on here and disrupt. It is ok to disagree with me, if that person will show me when I am wrong. Believe me, I want to learn and could be proven wrong. I support Trump because I have given it a lot of thought. It doesn’t bother me if someone does not support Trump; they are all good people. I want the country to support more conservative values. The anger is easy to understand. The hate is always present in elections.

Oh forgot to answer. Anyone who doesn’t show respect for other people’s opinions. It is impossible to talk to people who will not listen and with closed minds. An open-minded person who disagrees is ok with me!

Your post #298 is incorrect, according to the video of the speech and incident. In #298, you are also making your response to the statement I made in a way to make it seem like I said something different than what I said. It is a non-response.

the USSC has already ruled decades ago about “fighting words”.

Words do not get a mere free pass. (see fire in crowded theater)

Reporters are notorious for pushing fighting words.

Trump did not promote violence. When you have thousands of people showing up at a rally, there will always be a few nuts in the crowd. The other candidates are getting a couple hundred, while Trump gets thousands. How do you keep goofballs out of a rally? The guy who was 78 probably had a reason to engage the protestor. Trump is right to call disrupters what they are. There are protestors at the Hillary and Sanders crowds too. The media reports more about Trump because of their bias. The media has a larger percentage of reporters who are working for the democrat party.
