This is just a lie. Ted Cruz did not side with the leftists. He said those doing violence were responsible.
He also said that Trump is responsible for the things he has said which create the “culture” of his campaign.
The gist is that each man is responsible for his own choices.
But that’s just too commonsense to make a specatacular headline, and it doesn’t serve a political purpose so I guess ya gotta make up some lies, crack some eggs to get the omelette you want to get...
I believe he is a smart man and I am confident he understands the implications of how he builds his phrases. He had a huge opportunity to rise above everyone else last night and still make similar points. Had he said something along the lines of “While I do not agree with all the Mr. Trump says or how he says it, and while he does feed an atmosphere of antagonism, there is absolutely no excuse for the behavior exhibited in the rally hall and on the streets of Chicago, etc.,” he could have made his jab at Trump and still stood tall against the Sanders, move-on, and OnlyBLM, anti-free speech crowd.
I really believe that is the source of the anger against him. In essence, many people heard his words as saying “they may have misbehaved, but they had just cause.”
‘He also said that Trump is responsible for the things he has said which create the culture of his campaign.’
So it was Trump supporters, warped by the culture of Trumps’s campaign, that went nuts last night? Trump’s supporters that shouted racial epithets, attacked people and got arrested?
What turned me off soundly was his rush to the microphone that night to try to capitalize on that situation at the rally. I liked him til it seems like about the time Jeb dropped out and Marco looked like he wasn’t going to win . I think about the time Neil Bush took over his campaign. I believe he is listening to some bad advice.
