Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Jesus is that peacemaker, that Son of God. But the angry mob told Him to buzz off. Nobody wanted to hear what He had to say. “Crucify Him! Crucify Him”, they cried, as He bled from raw flesh that took their sins on Himself. And He said that if He is treated so, His followers will also be treated so. We will be called weak and be despised, because HE is considered weak and despised.
