Ok, you all provided a link to the same YouTube video. Thank you.
I watched it. Cruz talked at length about the general tone etc. promoting violence. At NO time did Cruz say Trump or anyone else was responsible.
The YouTube video provided in post #202 does show Trump himself actually encouraging violence at his rallies.
This morning in one of the many emails I get from political organizations, I noticed one saying that BLM was being encouraged to disrupt tonight’s rallies. As usual, I deleted all those emails as just so much noise. But this is how the real enemy uses Trumps words to stir up our enemies and then encourages us to blame Cruz. (Sorry I didn’t hang onto that email but they constantly promote controversy so I didn’t give it special notice.)
Think about it.
That is simply not true.
You have got to be kidding me. I just watched and listened. Who's rally and what candidate's campaign did you think he was blaming?
So at 1:22 when he says “...but in a campaign, responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate is responsible for the culture of the campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively promotes violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this type of discord.”
Who was he talking about there? Particularly with the last comment who could only be referring to one candidate.
I must respectfully disagree.
As an hypothetical, suppose Trump's words really are pushing thugs towards actual violence, as Cruz suggests. Then I would submit that the problem lies not with Trump's words, but with how thin-skinned and hyper-sensitive the thugs are.
