Ted Cruz accused Republican front-runner Donald Trump of taking advantage of 'angry, low-information voters.'
“Listen, Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice,” Cruz told “The Brody File” in an interview conducted Wednesday and published Thursday.
Cruz, who has racked up wins in Idaho, Maine and Kansas in the past week, said his campaign performs better among informed, engaged voters.
“When they inform themselves, they realize his record,” Cruz said. “He’s what they’re angry at. He is the corruption, and if you want someone to stand up to Washington, the only one who has been doing so in this race is me.”
The Texas senator acknowledged Trump has done well in Southeastern states — he’s won Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. But Cruz said his campaign has done well in that pocket of the country, too, often coming in second to the New York billionaire but still picking up delegates.
“Now Donald has a harder problem in the West,” Cruz said. “It’s interesting. I mean, his location, he does well in the Southeast. He does well with a certain demographic of voter. Donald gave a press conference where he said, to quote him, ‘I love the poorly educated.’” Cruz suggested Trump is “taking advantage of his voters because” they’re angry. “I understand what they’re angry about, but, Donald, if you’re angry at the corruption of Washington, you don’t solve it by supporting someone who has been enmeshed in the Washington corruption for 40 years,” he said.

We ended up with Obama because we had two politically correct idiots who would not fight. Last night when Cruz said not all Muslims are bad. I thought oh great another McCain Romney. Yes Muslims are bad. And Cruz said he would not go after families of terrorists. Lord just keep Obama then. Both Cruz and Obama are politically correct with regards to Muslims.

I take The Donald pretty much at his word for now. I’m not a hard core Trump fan, but I do like a lot about him, and being called low information really pissed me off. That’s a bad thing to do during an election season. Does Ted think he can change the way I think? He may persuade me to vote for him weighing pro’s and cons, but not change what I think is important.
Ted has a lot of financial issues, and being born in Canada IS going to be an issue, like it or not. Nothing makes me madder than seeing a politician talking about religion, it has no place in politics. Even Abortion, keep the religion out of it. It’s murder pure and simple. Politics is far too dirty, keep god out of it.
Back to Ted, in the vast majority of cases Senators really suck at running for President. Being a Senator warps the brain. I’ve met a few, every one of them are vain, devious, and crooked. Senators aren’t delegators, motivators, and leaders. Senators are micro managers to the n’th getting wrapped up in minutiae. Ted’s whole career is about minutiae and he’s good at it. Ted belongs on the Supreme Court, not the Whitehouse.
He is this stupid for not recognizing that his campaign manager is doing a poor job.
Well tonight just changed everything. Not sure what to make of it. This is the first time I wonder how trump is going to handle it.
I don't think Ted Cruz has all the information about this that he needs.

I'll correct you, he has the Evangelical and Orthodox Conservative vote locked up.
That's about 20% of the primary electorate and 10% of the general electorate...locked up.
That's not to say he can win the rest...it's just that's it's never happened in modern times.

Hmmmm. I am high info, engaged, post grad who dislikes Cruz more and more everyday. Perhaps, I am just not as GOPerudite as you and Cruz.
