Ted Cruz accused Republican front-runner Donald Trump of taking advantage of 'angry, low-information voters.'
Listen, Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice, Cruz told The Brody File in an interview conducted Wednesday and published Thursday.
Cruz, who has racked up wins in Idaho, Maine and Kansas in the past week, said his campaign performs better among informed, engaged voters.
When they inform themselves, they realize his record, Cruz said. Hes what theyre angry at. He is the corruption, and if you want someone to stand up to Washington, the only one who has been doing so in this race is me.
The Texas senator acknowledged Trump has done well in Southeastern states hes won Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. But Cruz said his campaign has done well in that pocket of the country, too, often coming in second to the New York billionaire but still picking up delegates.
Now Donald has a harder problem in the West, Cruz said. Its interesting. I mean, his location, he does well in the Southeast. He does well with a certain demographic of voter. Donald gave a press conference where he said, to quote him, I love the poorly educated. Cruz suggested Trump is taking advantage of his voters because theyre angry. I understand what theyre angry about, but, Donald, if youre angry at the corruption of Washington, you dont solve it by supporting someone who has been enmeshed in the Washington corruption for 40 years, he said.

“My mom used to tell me if a man tells who how great its going to be, it wont be.”
So your mom had sex with someone to conceive you who said to her, “Well, OK, I’m not very good at this and you won’t enjoy it, so let’s just see how this goes”?
And completely different values, which is the most important thing, if not the only important thing.
Trump insulted all of us.
You might not want o get into values about Cruz. His record has been thoroughly discussed here and it is not looking good.
So Jeff Sessions and Ben Carson are low information voters?
Trump has called for the establishment to unite behind his campaign. He already has an endorsement from Christie.
Why is Cruz somehow wrong for trying to do the exact same thing? Yet I still dont think Cruz has any endorsements from the establishment like Trump does with Christie.
Not you again. I'm seriously beginning to think you are just a disrupter here. You call yourself a conservative but yet you said we were "...a democracy where leaders followed the dictates of the people." awhile back and I had to correct you that we were not a true democracy and that we are a Constitutional Republic. What you spouted is what many liberals I have come across over the years, believe. The discussion is here, where I corrected you and you conveniently disappeared:

If you were truly a conservative and not a disrupter here, you would have known we are a Constitutional Republic. Your credibility is definitely questionable before you spout any more of your BS.

Cruz just committed seppuku. Everyone warned Cruz not to embrace the nut Beck. And now Cruz has invited the globalist Bush onto his sinking ship. Stupid. Ted needs to go back to the senate and marinate for another eight years before trying a presidential run.
I like you, buddy, but you’re not ready for prime time. Take control of the senate speaker’s chair and dump the RINO fascists overboard.
Sad.. There are a lot of Bible " thumpers" as you crudly say, right here on FR... I'm one of them. Self righteous? NOT at ALL.. that's WHY we cleave to our Bibles and God's Plan of salvation.. because we aren't righteous.. only GOD is HOLY.. but His Plan is what we read and believe and accept.... When you put God's Word down, you put a LOT of FREEPERS DOWN.. me for one. Sad...
Agree, trump gumbas are clueless
Cruz is not saying they are stupid, what he is pointing out is that the majority seem uninformed about the real Trump. Why, because they do not take time to read about him, most only know the Art of the Deal and that's it. They like his shows/rallies because they are entertaining and people like parties. Trump can say anything and they will believe and defend him against all naysayers. It may be the Stockholm Syndrome now, I don't know.
For me it is very scary thing if I was to follow a person based on he is the latest fad, because everyone else is doing it so must I? NO, not common sense.
There is much written on the real Trump, just review and think about it. You can't dismiss it if one is true to self.....may turn out that Trump is not the person he says he is.
Don’t beat around the bush, tell me how you really feel.
Oh, I get trump gumbas are lining up.....and I agree they are low information people.
You obviously didn't read what I replied to you in the link as there is more. I'll just let you continue to expose yourself.

Nope, she did not.
She was telling me that men who say they are aren’t.
My dad never bragged.
trump brags......he’s the guy she told me to avoid.
I’m sure you brag,
I am cool with voters who never voted in their lives before or voters who haven’t voted since Reagan. This is great. We are finally giving it to the GOPe. This is great news and even you should be thrilled with that.
OK., so, lines around the block, drooling over blathering three word phrases are a sign of a leader.....
We as thevUSA are screwed.
I’m not cool with peopke voting for a blithering idiot.
That’s how we ended up with O.
The only way we are screwed is if Hillary gets in. Trump will be fine. If nothing else no more apologizing for being American. I like that. No more apology tours.
