While Ted Cruz proudly proclaims he is an Evangelical Christian, his campaign takes pains to hide the truth that Cruz and his pastor father, Rafael Cruz are Pentecostal Christians, a fact further hidden by having Ted and Heidi Cruzs belong to the congregation of First Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist church in Houston, as their home church. Both Cruzs parents, his father Rafael a Cuban-born immigrant, and his mother Eleanor, born in Wilmington, Delaware, grew up in Catholic families. Both were among the millions of that left the Catholic Church since the 1960s to embrace Pentecostalism, a Christian movement estimated to make up 4.4 percent of the U.S. population, accounting for some 13 percent of evangelical churches in the United States. - See more at: http://eastorlandopost.com/ted-cruz-closet-pentecostal#sthash.M95M8HTV.dpuf

I actually prefer that the CINOs out themselves: easy to avoid in the future.
There are 4 links:

Using your theory, it doesn’t matter. My mother is also a fatalist. It’s her only nasty habit.

I appreciate you took the time to write a detailed response and I agree with almost all that you wrote. Unfortunately, you lost me when you labeled Trump an “atheist.”
I just typed clearly what’s in my heart and I didn’t stutter. There can be no sensible debate with someone who has set their candidate choice up as the only Christian choice. It’s the stuff of Tele-vangelist scams and gouging.
That said, I really can sympathize with you. I was as you are about Cruz on behalf of the Republican Party for longer than I care to admit. When the hurt and disillusionment comes it’s going to be bad and you’ll find no celebrating or vengefulness with me. I’ve been there.
But by all means, keep going. You are a prime example of what many need to be able to identify once Trump wins, as you are out for vengeance.
Many depend on denomination for salvation instead of Christ.
When the Apostles were planting churches, they called themselves "The Way". Denominations came 300-400 years later. My church was built as a Baptist church, but over the years, the Truth of the Bible won out and we became non denominational. Everyone is welcome and everyone has freedom. If you came there, you may declare it's Pentecostal, but you aren't required to speak in tongues and many don't. We have some that still claim to be Baptists, Methodists, ect, whatever background they came from. We also have a Methodist church a few miles down the road that doesn't marry gays and they speak in tongues. For me, denomination = legalism. Under grace, we have one Law,..."Love the Lord with all you heart, mind, soul, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself." I find if we get much further than that we end up in bondage to legalism. Either Christ paid for my sin or He didn't. Bible says He did. If speaking in tongues is a sin, then Paul is in hell right now.
If the gifts aren't needed, who do you get your power from? Do you have power? Why would the Holy Spirit bring gifts from the Father if you didn't need them to fulfill your commission? If you choose not to get the gifts, it's your choice. It depends on how much of God you want to experience. He will not force Himself on anyone. Faith is a gift from God. If you want more, pray for it and God will answer. IMO, When you've tasted and seen, you won't go back. At the time He comes to you, are you a Baptist or a Pentecostal? God is not a Baptist or a Pentecostal. Why would a family member be forced into a man made construct. Worship and follow Him in the manner He desires. There is much more on this subject, but you probably weren't looking for a sermon. Much of it comes into judging others on things you haven't experienced, or asking yourself questions about Scripture your denomination won't, or can't answer.
Again, it must be Methodist Hillary giving the writer the idea of plundering, not Baptist Ted Cruz.
I think anyone who has read the story of Christ knows what a Christian is. Christ defined it and it's quite simple. I believe Cruz knows, and that is why I was very disheartened (I originally supported him) when I witnessed how his campaign has gone, along with the youtube video and revelation that he basically doesn't tithe.
I support Trump. I would bet that he has never seriously read Christ's word so he falls into the category that probably 95% of the world falls into, thinking that the rules they make up are okay. Consequently, we have billions of gods on earth and mayhem abounds.
But at least Trump is not (to me) the phony that Cruz is and I hope and pray that with people like Sarah Palin, Ben Carson, and some of the pastors Trump has met with, he
grows and as a man and hopefully discovers Christ.
In the meantime, this country is a disaster and he is a man with a track record of doing what he says. And so far it seems to me that he has a grasp of what the primary problems are. Rubio’s a joke and Kasich seriously repulses me as everything wrong with our political system.
I didn’t stutter either. My position is clear as a Christian you can’t have a leader who is not a believer sooner or later you will have to choose which to follow.
What do you call someone that has never repented or seen the need to?
Low down trick, trying to equate Pentecostals with snake handlers.
My belief is that God looks upon the heart, rather than upon the form Christian worship takes.
Well.
Depends on what you mean. Are you looking for a Presidential candidate who will get elected?
You must know that an "out" Pentecostal Christian couldn't get elected dog catcher in most places, never mind President.
So, yes, if getting the nominee elected is what you are selling, it IS unacceptable.
The final straw, or the start of the healing. God often has used flawed men to do His will.
No human is there yet. It is appointed unto man once to die, then the judgment. After the judgment...
Your mileage may vary by scriptural interpretation.
Do you believe snake handling and speaking in tongues is biblical ?
