Rubio PAC Spending $9.6 Million Against Trump in Florida

Marco Rubio is taking a page out of Jeb Bush's playbook — letting his allied super PAC fight the advertising battle ahead of a must-win primary in his home state.

After disappointing primary losses Tuesday, Rubio's campaign has reserved only a few thousand dollars of advertising time on radio or television in Florida, according to data from Kantar Media's Campaign Media Analysis Group.

Instead, the Rubio-aligned Conservative Solutions PAC is directing attack ads at billionaire Donald Trump, pumping money into nearly every market in the state and even airing a Spanish-language ad on Rubio's home turf of Miami in hopes of encouraging a large Latino turnout.

Since Super Tuesday, Conservative Solutions has aired more than 2,300 spots in the Sunshine state and is slated to spend more than $9.6 million on radio and television ads ahead of the state's March 15 primary. That's the most the group has spent in any one state since New Hampshire, according to Kantar Media data.

These attacks inoculate Trump for the general election. They also show how much the establishment is scared of Trump.

Yup, and they will end up with the same outcome.
Haven’t these idiots figured out that Trump supporters aren’t going anywhere???

These huge vicious continuous attacks from all sides has had little affect thus far. In fact, I think people are getting sick of it. That will also help Trump in the general election as there really isn’t much more the democrats can do against him. And, when he “starts in” on Hillary it will be brutal for her.

Yep, Bernie has been practicing the Dem version of the 11th Commandment and really has been keeping the kid gloves on with Hillary.

The general between Trump and Hillary is going to be brutal for Hillary. Trump’s heard it all before, Clinton is going to spend the whole time teetering back on her heels from the verbal assault she hasn’t had to deal with yet.

At the last debate, just the mere mention of an indictment and you could see the steam coming out of her ears, she lost her cool immediately.

Cruz and the rest of them won’t “go there” when they have their shot.

You know Trump will.

I hope that I am not sounding like a socialist (or silly) when I say this but I wonder what I’d do with that amount of money that Rubio is spending most likely in vain? Travel around the world, fully clean up and renovate the family farm I recently inherited, the possibilities seem endless.

The thing is Rubio admitted that he understands that he doesn’t have a path forward last night in the debate.

Cruz will be Romney 2.0 in terms of strength and testicular fortitude.

“that amount of money that Rubio is spending”

It is being spent allegedly on the Rubio campaign, it is not his money. It is being used to diminish Trump. $8.9M has fueled an ad every fifteen minutes on either the TV or radio here in the Jax area for the past week. I want to punch the TV after hearing the barrage time after time. Yesterday it was Trump is a draft dodger. Day before it was “I never got a referral from Trump U” with a real estate for sale listing. Regarding the last one, I never got a referral to be a CFO with my accounting degree because it was expected I would go out and EARN that job with my education in the basics.

You cannot make this stuff up.

I could think of quite a few, a new sleep number bed, the new retaining wall so my neighbor’s water run off doesn’t destroy my yard, pay for the new gutters so hubby 75 no longer has to climb a ladder to unclog gutters. Pay off the house, get a new car to replace my 8 year old one.

Give my church some of that to fund senior programs. St Jude’s and Lebohoner’s Children’s Hospital.

Get the medical help my BIL needs for his MS and bad knees. And get them a single story house so he doesn’t have to drag himself up stairs any more.

Help FR out more so we can get bigger servers.

We are getting bombarded with these constant anti-Trump ads here in Florida on both TV and Internet.

-- They also show how much the establishment is scared of Trump. --

At this point, I think it is simply the internal payoff, with no results expected, only continued loyalty.
