Trump's rough handling of rally dissenters stirs questions
Yahoo News ^ | 10 Mar 2016 | ALLEN G. BREED

To Rakeem Jones, flanked on all sides by uniformed sheriff's deputies, it was more than just the shock of being ejected from a political rally for Donald Trump. The black man felt as if he was being transported back in time.

"It's not the America they portray on TV," the 26-year-old said, the day after he was wrestled to the ground by officers and punched in the face during the campaign event in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

But to friend Ronnie Rouse, who caught the incident on video, it was "totally American."

"This is the America everybody wants to ignore," the music producer told The Associated Press Thursday. "This is the America, when people tell you, 'Oh, racism doesn't exist.' It's here."

What should we make of scenes like this Wednesday evening at Crown Coliseum?

They have become a regular thing at Trump rallies, and while security experts say Trump has every right to quash dissent at events he's paying for, they say the Republican front-runner is playing with fire by not tamping down uncivil behavior and assault.

"I would go so far as to say that I find that abhorrent," security consultant Stan Kephart, a former police chief in Arizona and California, says of Trump's failure to call out his pugnacious followers. "To me, he's pressing the line. He's doing things that you would see a showman do."

What's Trump's attitude about all of this?

As he was being led out he was aggressively giving the finger to the crowd until he reached a 78 year old guy.... The guy took offense and punched him in the face....

The 78 year guy has been charged with aggravated assault...

Pretty much end of story....

There is no free speech at a paid for rally for a candidate..

If they are there to cause trouble, by all means, eject them. I don’t care who’s rally it is.

Go to a Hillary rally and pull a stunt like this and see what happens. It’ll be the SS beating the crap out of you.

So, these pampered little pukes show up with the intent of causing trouble and are then surprised/upset when someone lowers the boom on them?

Cry me a river.

What the old man did was stupid. What he said after that was even more stupid.

I am not blaming Trump.

I do think that your comments are ill advised and its that crap that make independents think Trump is too much of a punk.

Well, go to your safe space and have a good cry. When you come out maybe we’ll have some cookies and a visa to England for you.

So, it’s OK for this old man to walk down a row and sucker punch the guy that was being walked out.

We used to let the cops do stuff. Now every angry old man thinks it’s up to them to serve justice. YOU might want to live in that country, but I would prefer not to.

Big men talk tough on the Internet. Ooh I am scared.

I was taught not to interfere with he cops. I guess where you come from that kind stuff is cool.

I know...you woulda liked to string him up. Like he good ol days.

Now, what if your kid was sitting in the row where that happened. Is that the type of behavior you want your kid to see at a political rally?

So... if you were in a bar, and another patron walked up and said that all military guys were a bunch of pussies who couldn’t punch their way out of a paper bag, you would do nothing ?

If he said that any guy who attends ROTC before getting into the military is just a closet homo, would you still sit calmly ?

It is a private event.
These people are NOT protesters.
They are DISRUPTERS.
They have NO right to disrupt a private event.
They should be charged and thrown into jail.

But, sadly, we know the Rule of Law exists only for the Commies in charge, to silence any those who dare to object.

Black Lies Matter, the primary source of these disruptors, should be required to pay for the extra security their disruptors require.

I agree.

Well, with the exception of their rights.

They have to use it to defend themselves, but never recognize it to defend anyone else.
