Maybe Kasich is proud of remembering his father as a person who was a mailman. I feel sorry Kasich lost both of his parents to a drunken driver. I can only imagine how he feels standing up there without his parents.

I am not very enthusiastic about Kasich as President, but I have always believed (and heard from others who had personal interaction) that he is a gentleman.

He lost his parents to a drunk driver, I had no idea, damn thats horrible. I disagree with Kasich on many issues but he doesn’t seem like a bad guy

I understand and appreciate your sentiments. But when something like that is referred to over and over, it starts to look a little maudlin, and like a substitute for substance.
