GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters get more engaged and they get more informed. Hunch: Im thinking Trump and his Silent Majority may push back on this just a bit dont you think? Lots to unpack here but for now, heres the clip.
Our interview was done Wednesday afternoon in Miami.

He buddy, some people work for a living. I stated that so far in all this time no issues ever come up. Just name calling and liar and cheat. I do not believe Trump even understands the issues himself. Thats why he can never say anything specifically at a debate. I prefer all conservative TED CRUZ policies. I do no believe Trump can do anything but talk over people and insult. Cruz tax plan is better although I would rather have the “Fair Tax”. Trumps going to repeal some of and replace Obamacare with something else. Thats plan. Government needs to stay out of our healthcare system in order for it to work better. Many of the things Trump has said Cruz said first. Its just that he does go for the outrageous punchline and get 100’s of hours of free media like a Reality star does.
Thanks for the compliment there Rita...here you go!
For what exactly is Trump “guilty as charged”? I thought he’s stated that he’s never made a mistake? And, that he really has no sins to confess? He certainly shows little or no humility every time the camera is rolling...He’s a braggart extraordinaire!
He is simple, I’ll grant you that...he rarely can answer a policy question with any detail or depth...he’s like a near-empty ice cream carton...after one scoop, you’ve hit bottom! Simplicity in his rally speech does helps his voters comprehend!
Trump always says he’s so smart, but the things he says are not always smart (e.g.nuclear triad), and he seems to change positions very easily...sounds like he’s already caved on amnesty! IMHO, someone who constantly gabs about his high IQ (or the size of his manhood, haha) must be very insecure and should never be President!
With regard to Heidi Cruz, your comment is pure speculation, more guilt by association type slander that is the hallmark of Trump and Trump devotees such as yourself. If you didn’t grasp it...you need a nice big tinfoil hat for your pointy little head!
Ammo...I can keep this up all day...Rita! ;-)
According to Cruz, Trump voters are so stupid that it is a good thing Cruz has come along to save them. Really stupid and bad move. Typical politician. If by some miracle he knock out Trump he will never get Trump voters to support him.
That by the way is what is wrong with the Republican party. It thinks it is too smart for fly over country. Cruz has not learned either. Maybe that is why they call him lyin’ Ted!
Also I think this is telling...

Bye, Ted!
Donald-We-Love-The-Poorly-Educated Trump has said the same thing about his supporters.
Cruz isn't insulting them. He's asking voters to get more informed on the issues-;Nothing wrong with that.
And if you do look into most issues, Trump is not very clear or consistent about what he stands for. This makes it hard to know what he will do as POTUS.
Oddly enough, what is most clear about Trump, is that he is not a Constitutionalist, nor does he appear to be much of a conservative.
Ever occur to Trumpbots that the 3 to 1 Straw Poll is due to Cruz supporters don’t feel the anxious need to gather in a wad to reinforce an irrational emotional attachment through some lopsided unscientific FR Straw Poll?
And most “Conservatives” believe this as well. Me included.
We don’t raise taxes to be “Fair”

And it was pretty telling when Trump said at the debate how much money he was going to save on cheating and cutting at the epa. Much more than you could ever do cutting the agency all together (which is what should happen)
Watch the future.
Nah. Proving to people that they are in the minority is important.
Have you “whered” your hard hat yet? I can’t believe I said that! “Where your hard hat”! Yikes!
If Trump actually represented a vast majority he would be nailing every Primary in the 75%+ range.
No it did not occur to us obviously
Have you already forgotten we’re ill informed and not engaged?
Per your keeper of what is
Yep that’s me
Losing sleep at night over trade deals
Rush is clueless
Is that the same Jeff Sessions who was tricked by Trump’s lies on H1B visas?
Oooh OK, thanks for clarification. (rolling eyes....)
The snotty tone Cruz and his supporters have for Trump supporters is the EXACT same tone of contempt the GOP holds for citizen voters and the EXACT same tone of contempt Obama holds toward the USA. No different.
Done with that.
Methinks you are struggling to blow off the Heidi interest and energy expended in her little North American
“Community” “association”.
Nobody is making that up, you know.
She cheerfully took the bait and the pay check for her input and signature. You bet it is guilt by association. She is a signor to the damn thing.
When sovereignty is in question, you look around to see who’s *for* it and *in on it*. Beat that.
TRUMP associations were polite little donations for business and marketing purposes. Even small enterprises do the same. To those associations, TRUMP pleads “Guilty” all the time. People like it. It’s authentic.
Next?
“Is that the same Jeff Sessions who was tricked by Trumps lies on H1B visas?”
It’s the same Jeff Session Cruz referred to about who he looks to for honesty. That Jeff Sessions. BTW, you can denigrate Sessions if you want but know that in conservative circles he is a bona fide soldier.
You can do your own research as to why Sessions chose Trump over Cruz. I obviously can’t do it for you because well, I’m not worthy since I’m not engaged. Ask your dear leader for more details.
Gasp. Breathe. Breathe again. It’s the best advice when you get the vapors.
