Ted Cruz Says Donald Trump's Voters Have "relatively low information" And Are "not that engaged"
CBN News ^ | March 10, 2016 | David Brody

Posted on 03/10/2016 6:23:01 AM PST by VitacoreVision

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed.” Hunch: I’m thinking Trump and his “Silent Majority” may push back on this just a bit don’t you think? Lots to unpack here but for now, here’s the clip.

Our interview was done Wednesday afternoon in Miami.

Fair point, but the serpent’s head has that inevitable appointment with a certain heel.

‘That’s because he only marries woman who don’t have a problem with the fact that he’s aleady married and cheating on his current wive.’

Are you aware this is a lie? Are you merely following the leader?

if you do the math on “following the money” it will also show that Trumps HEART has truly changed over the past ten years.

This is one of the things I don't understand about you and others that have similar remarks.

The money trail is one of the things that helped me leave the Cruz camp and join the Trump camp.

It is true that Trump gave money to the Dem's, but if you can't see the direct correlation between the amount of money massively shifting in one direction as his heart has shifted in the same direction, it is only because you don't want to see it, or your math doesn't add up.

I still like Cruz, but I can't help but see more and more that he is being exposed as the “insider” that others have claimed months ago on this site. I refused to look at their proof until it was plainly clear at moments like this one.

The big banks, the North American Union....follow the money here my friend and see how you feel about Cruz!

Did you note that Cruz admitted he gives no $ to the church he attends? He said he has to secure his family’s finances first, after which (according to him) he needs to do a better job of supporting the local congregation.

Hard to do a worse job than giving the donut.

In this case, let’s pray for divine intervention. Worse needn’t come to worst. As we know, with God all things are possible.

....First he lies, then he pals around with Glenn Beck, and now it's the Bush-Clinton Crime Families and Snarly Carly...and wow what do you know: ‘Establishment’ written all over the ‘phony’ from head to toe...

Worth repeating again. Ted Cruz is sounding more and more elitist GOPe every day.

Cruz thinks we can't think for ourselves but a few days before I voted a couple of things bothered me about him. One of his major donors is Goldman-Sachs, if you go check opensecrets.org, you can see from 0bama's 2008 presidential election, Goldman-Sachs was one of 0bama's top donors. That was the first hint of just another establishment candidate.

Then you had the all out ambush of Trump from the Foxnews debate and the Romney interview and it appeared Cruz was a willing participant, shedding his conservative principles to get in bed with the establishment. Of course since then, he has welcomed the Bush family in to try to help him become the nominee.

I'm so glad I saw a few warning signs before I voted.

You see Ted, we can think for ourselves and be engaged. For you are starting to stink of elitist GOP establishment by your words and your actions.

So, he “allegedly” said the same thing that Trump said about Iowa voters?

Trump didn't call Iowa voters stupid. His statements were a "how stupid do they take us for?" kind of argument.

I think Cruz is wrong about the engaged part but right about the ‘low information’ part, even if not strong enough.

That's because you're a low information prick who hasn't bothered to look at any poll internals. Trump wins every demographic, including college educated and high income. His supporters made up their minds months ago. Cruz/Rubio supporters are not very committed to their guy, on the other hand, and tend to make their decisions at the last minute, hence Cruz and Rubio always do well with "late deciders." They're called late deciders because their support for Cruz or Rubio reflected in the polls was always of the "maybe I'll vote for him" variety. IOW, this does not suggest that they are high information or highly engaged voters, if they haven't figured out who a candidate is until the last day or two before the votes begin.

Cruz knew exactly what he was saying.

He has ridden to power on his word smithing. I know.

Including the money he gave to Teddy the Torie? Has Teddy returned it yet?

Let me tell you what I am informed about -- the political condition of the country from W's second term through Obama today. The GOPe has paid lip-service to conservative principles and conservative voters, while walking lock-step with liberals to feather their own nests. PERIOD.

TARP, Obamacare, all the "continuing resolutions", $11 TRILLION in debt.

Think about this for a second. Think about all the rallies Trump as held. Every day, two to three rallies, hundreds of miles apart. There's venues and travel expenses and all that. Trump has said he's spent around $25-30 million so far.

We've added $11 TRILLION in debt. I don't think people realize just exactly how much money has been squandered and stolen from U.S. taxpayers.

If the GOPe is fighting Trump that hard, it can be for only one reason -- they don't want their gravy train drying up!

Exactly!

Something is definitely wrong in Denmark, so to speak. As a great added bonus to a Trump presidency, is a complete blow up of the GOP establishment that is sorely needed.

“I love the poorly educated” ~~Donald Trump “*********

I believe Donald meant it. After all, he worked among them in construction as a kid, was on construction sites among them as an adult, dealt with them on labor, and hired them en masse. And Cruz? Not so much....

Rush was discussing this topic because a Vet. called in and said he wasn’t a low information voter and he served his country proudly. Rush said Cruz again has made the mistake of thinking he can get Trump supporters. He can’t and he needs to get Rubio and Kasich people. Trumps supporters won’t leave Trump. Trump has his supports.

Cruz is pinning his campaign on miles of “slack”.

His words say one thing and his actions say something quite different or else accomplish nothing at all for a single conservative anywhere.

Think about it. \\

He lives on Words and smithing them.

Rush’s analysis would be flawed here. How does one attempt to “get” someone’s supporters by insulting them?

Rush said Trump supporters are locked it to Trump and no one is getting them. Only Trump can let them go. They are with Trump for reasons than probably date back to the 90’s and the trade deals done then. Not all of his people but alot of the Democrats coming over aren’t leaving Trump too.
