Not nearly as bad for Hillary once Bernie bolts to 3rd party.

Which is what the GOPe want, to retain power, even as the minority parties of the House and Senate.

The only caveat for this is that the GOP doesn’t care if Hillary wins. They would rather retain control of the party so it’s no downside (to them) to force Trump to run 3rd party.

Why would Trump go third party? He signed a ‘pledge’ and has said in his rallies, he will support the Republican ticket...

Trump has brought in more voters to one party in history, (look it up for yourself) and he is starting to unite the American People who are for saving America, the others are globalists and don't count...

And think about this....’IF cruz wins the oval office and brings jeb bush as his v.p. , remember what happened to Reagan and poppy bush was v.p.====same thing happening again...think about it...it can happen....

Losing the conservative base and losing the election to Hillary is fine with the GOP establishment, as long as Trump is beaten. The question is whether Trump can take enough of the pub base and gather enough Reagan dems to pull off a large enough win that can’t be snatched by voter fraud. These electronic voting machines can pretty much give one any margin of victory that is desired, within reason.

Why should he? They’ve been suggesting he do this from the beginning because they want this. He doesn’t. He doesn’t need to, either.

I want it on the record that I'm predicting a Trump/Sanders ticket.

The rabid Trump supporters joining forces with the rabid Sanders supporters would be unstoppable!

And, let's not forget, Trump was unable to tell the difference between his policy positions and those of Sanders.

March 6 and 7 shows that if Donald Trump is denied the GOP nomination for presidential candidate, he could run as a third-party candidate with much of his base intact.

First, let's see if Trump can get the number of delegates to actually win the nomination...

The key word here is DENIED...which implies he won enough delegates and the convention was rigged to deny him...

That's not going to happen...

The GOPe are a bunch of gutless invertebrate slugs, but they aren't stupid...

Why is “Trump going 3rd party” always the question? He’s winning all over the place and is by far the most likely person to be the Republican nomination. The better question is “Why are the GOP plotting run someone else as 3rd party?”

Trump is a Republican. It’s his party too. If he plays by their rules and wins and the GOPe blow up the party by running someone 3rd party, that destruction is on THEIR heads.

If Trump goes into the convention with the majority of delegates and is denied the nomination, he will run 3rd party and there ain’t no way any Repub is going to beat Hillary if that happens.

I would love to see Trump go third party. It would make the upcoming annihilation of the GOPe-led Republican Party in November even more massive!!!

Oh, don’t worry. If they stole the nomination from Trump (not to say Cruz could not win it). I for one would never vote republican again.

Something to consider if the GOP-E pursues its dream of a brokered convention with Mitt or some other GOP-E stalking horse as the selected (rather than elected) nominee.

If the GOPe forced this, they would be committing suicide. If 36% would vote for Trump independently, then they would likely also leave the GOPe permanently over the treatment of their candidate.

Today my wife and I became "independents" after being Republicans since 1980.

President Reagan was right, "We didn't leave the party, the party left us".

GOPE doesn’t care. They would rather see Clinton win than allow a Trump presidency.

Of course he would. We’ve been sticking with the GOP by default. The party is ending.
