Donald Trump doesn’t rule out Marco Rubio as VP possible
Donald Trump doesn’t rule out Marco Rubio as VP possible ^ | March 9, 2016 | A.G. Gancarski

After another disastrous performance in four primary and caucus states, the candidacy of Marco Rubio is troubled.

However, he may not be out of the running for an executive branch job just yet, if the comments of Donald Trump on “Morning Joe” Wednesday were any indication.

“I’ve always liked him, and then he hit me really hard,” Trump said.

“I got along with him until a few weeks ago when he started playing Don Rickles.”

When asked whether Rubio would be a potential VP candidate, to help with the establishment and Hispanic voters, Trump was cagey … but he didn’t rule it out.

“If he runs and loses … he will never be able to do anything big politically in Florida. I certainly don’t think he would be considered by anybody as vice president, and I don’t think he could run for governor or whatever. Running and losing would be risky,” Trump said.

Then the question, reiterated: if Rubio drops out now, would Trump consider him for VP?

“Sure, sure, and he’s got a lot of talent,” Trump said. “I just don’t want to say that … it’s just not appropriate to talk about that until he makes a decision. It’s too soon.”

Essentially, Trump issued an ultimatum to Rubio: Get out of the race before the Florida primary. Or your political future is over in Florida.

But … if Rubio acts now …. the consolation prize of VP may – repeat, may – be offered.

Another wet dream attempt being floated by the GOPE/Open Border thugs.

After Trump finishes Rubot, Rubot might have to become a used car salesman in Havana. The Faux Rubot Hand Puppet is owned/controlled/pawned by the RNC/Open Borders Elite Thugs!!!!

Rubot swings both ways!

I AM NOT AN RNC ROBOT!

No Cruz is not going for the VP, after last night saying he now welcomes a contested convention then tells me he is doing the establishment dirty work and hopes he gets enough delegates to stop Trump.

That is the logic of a fool.

What Raphael and the “Establishment” fail to grasp is that the voters are voting for Trump..not the party. To think that if Trump is denied, everyone will sit at Raphael’s feet is silly. I suspect that a huge number of potential voters will stay home..and clinton will win. Raphael is ineligible, as well as unfit.

“Trump is now astutely playing the Party Unity card to defang the dead-enders who are out to get him.”

True. Trump has astutely played every card in the deck.

Trump's play has caused evangelicals to vote for a fan of Planned Parenthood; people identifying as conservatives are voting for a Clinton donor; anti-illegal immigration Americans are voting for a touch-back amnesty advocate; Republicans are voting for a candidate that wanted to impeach George Bush; Mississippians are voting for New York City values; and workers who have lost their jobs to sweat shops in China are voting for a manufacturer who produces clothing in sweat shops in China.

The spring has been compressed about as far as it will go.

you and I know that, but it was Goldberg this morning saying we will still vote for the establishment.

I see Cruz got an endorsement of Fiorina LOL.

The angry woman is back on stage looking angrier than usual.
So in the last few days Cruz hires Bush, endorsed by Fiorina and states he now is in for a contested convention and is OK with it., thus doing the establishment dirty work.

To think I was for this guy two weeks ago, boy am I happy I saw through him and changed.

1. Trump didn’t rule out Rubio because he’s trying to avoid ticking off present supporters of Rubio that he will need for the remainder of the primaries and for the General Election.

2. There is no way that Trump wants Rubio out of the race before the FL vote. Most of the Rubio voters would likely go to Cruz, making it more difficult for him to win. With a split opposition, Trump is FAR more likely to win...and winning is his goal, at all times and places.

This is ‘in search of a headline.’ At this point, Trump is probably considering possible VP candidates, but focusing on winning the nomination and nailing down FL Sure, they ALL have ‘short lists,’ but that won’t come into focus for a while. I doubt strongly that Marco Rubio will pass the vetting DJT would do.

The Rubio or Cruz for VP ship has sailed. I doubt Trump ever considered Marco. He will be of no help winning FL in a general election. Fl voters can’t stand him.

More likely Kasich will get the nod.

Someone said on the news this morning, I think it was Ben Shapiro, that rule 40 is no longer valid. Oh yeah. They are already treating rule 40 as not being valid anymore and as something that will change

He said it with a smirk on his face too.

Suggesting that he drop out will only urge Rubio to stay in to spite Trump, splitting the vote and ensuring a Trump victory.

It's a game of wit? Inconceivable!

“I suspect that a huge number of potential voters will stay home..and clinton will win. “

Maybe. I don't know.

But I can tell you one thing. No thinking conservative will vote for Trump. Not as long as there are provisions to write in Gilmore or someone else that doesn't replace American workers with sweat shop labor in Red China.

Trump has said about a thousand times that he’s not ruling out anyone... That said I suspect hell would freeze over before he would choose a lightweight like Rubio...

Rubio’s got a lot of ‘growing’ to do ... maybe he’ll be ready in the future... maybe not.

Rubio is toast. The only job he may be able to get after this is Schumer’s errand boy.

Yeah, that may be wishful thinking on their part. It takes a delegate vote to repeal it.

So it could happen. But since Trump will have the most delegates, I think it’s more likely that they repeal it for future elections and let it stand for this one.

Oh you mean “little Marco” the lightweight, good luck trying to mend that fence..

Scorched earth earns a person burned bridges which will be hard to mend with Marco Rubio and his supporters.

I am not one, but I am just saying..

Nonsense! Can’t you see that this is the new “nice” Donald Trump. Did you not see his victory/press conference/infomercial (sarc)?

The Cockie Roberts interview? How did The Donald keep his cool? I couldn’t have.
