Nothingburger.

Every candidate has the same “disadvantage”.

The bigger deal is that Kasich came in third in Michigan. If he can’t carry that rust-belt state he most likely loses in Ohio. So much for his GOPe strategy to stop the Trumpmentum.

It affects the candidate with the most easily confused supporters, whomever that candidate may be. ;-)

The Ohio ballot is always this way.

I voted there in the Debacle of '92. I don't remember this.

Am i wrong or does the double check hold true for all candidates? They’re all listed twice. Whats the issue?

"That’s simply not true. It has nothing to do with Trump. The ballot was always set up this way, and the vote that will be counted to determine the primary winner is the at-large vote.

Maybe in some districts in Ohio but never in mine and I have been voting here since I was old enough to vote.

Mitt Romney’s robo-call to Ohio: “Pick Donald Trump in the first section; pick Ted Cruz in the second.”

With all due respect, this is nonsense.

I listened to an OH voter discuss this very issue on the radio a few days ago. He pointed out 2 things that utterly ruin the argument being made here:

1) It is the same for EVERY candidate.

2) OH has ALWAYS voted this way - one vote for the candidate, and one vote for the elector (i.e. delegate) for the candidate. EVERYONE in OH knows about it, and votes accordingly.

I wonder how it compares to the other states’ ballots?

I know that the Florida ballot is clear and concise. Perhaps any confusion might not benefit those voters who couldn’t pass an IQ test with a result of more than room temperature.

This must be one of the greatest faux outrage cognitive dissonance articles of this election season.

Looks like you vote for your at large and your district delegate, and ALL the candidates are showing up, hardly doing something to Trump. Definitely a weird ballot format.

Well, it IS a blog, so it’s clear from the start that the whiner is a mental deficient.

the Democrat ballot in the state only has the current candidates... the republicans have all the candidates from the beginning of time.

Perhaps that’s the big complaint with the ballot. So many names one might decide to vote for Huckleberry and negate the vote.

One must also vote for Cruz in two places if they want a constitutional conservative in office.

One vote is for the candidate, the other is for delegates. You should have seen the Tennessee ballot. We were allowed to select up to 8 delegates, as well as the candidate of our wishes.

This is much ado about nothing - it’s because there is a vote for an at large delegate and a congressional district delegate.

The only change is that they went to optical scanning ballots this go round and that was planned long before we even knew who was going to run in the primary. Spoken as an Ohio resident.

People are just making stories out of non-issues. If it’s true for Trump it’s true of every candidate. Geez.

It might be an “anti-Republican” thing. For the Democrats it just had one box with both of the candidates names on it.
