Michigan primary is open. I think a lot of people who are democrats voted for Trump and vice versa for Bernie Sanders. The states where that is not allowed Cruz does better. Michigan is weird. It can go either demo or repub.

No evidence of that in other open states. Trump has won a majority of Republicans in the states he’s won. But there are more independents than either Democrats or Republicans by far. If you want to win the general you have to win independents.
