As to Cruz' original H-1B proposal, it has since been tied in writing to the unemployment rate by sector, with specific promises to prosecute abusers of the program for fraud, something Trump has not done.

You have read Heidi Cruz’ opinion, so I don’t blame you for defending her. As for us, quotes would help tremendously. While it’s too late for Cruz in 2016, it’s not too late to elevate their stature.
I don’t blame you for being suspicious of Trump and critical of his ability to pull it off, but he plans to rip up any treaty that puts the US on the back seat. It might not be on constitutional grounds, and it might seem to counter free trade, but you’ll see a stronger, robust US economy and a voter base that begins to EXPECT patriotism in DC.
