The grumbling about Kasich that I hear from Ohio is that he slashed local budgets (city/municipality/county) to make his state budget work.
That’s really down to the roots of the grassroots. Not sure of the numbers of that, just saying that’s the scuttlebutt. Take it for what it’s worth.

I was feeling very confident until today. I’m in florida and the non stop anti Trump ads are brutal and vicious. I don’t want to underestimate the impact they could have before prople head out to vote.

How can a governor “slash” city/county budgets? Does he sit on their city councils?
Isn’t much of Grand Rapids pretty conservative? Or am I thinking of another city in MI? I thought I remembered knowing someone from GR who was a left-learning person and wanted to get away from the area.

A guess only... By cutting state monies being allocated to some of their programs.
Like this for example -

do you see? He takes money away from programs that exist on a local level and expects the local govts to pick up the slack. Or not.

Trump wins MS, MI, Cruz takes ID and Boobio takes HI.
