It sucks to lose a job, I know. But a 60 day notice to find new employment is rather considerate on the part of the employer. A lot of times companies will give two weeks notification, or even worse, employees will show up for work and all of their belongings will be in boxes at the door to the building and they will turn in their IDs, pick up their boxes, and go home without a job.

I had no notice when I lost mine. Walked in to work, within five minutes I was unemployed. Absolutely shocked. After nearly 14 years of service I was given three weeks severance pay.

Hardy. Wish these guys had the will to walk off the job.

Hold congressional hearings. Hold the companies strictly liable.

The ‘externalitities’ or costs to society have gone too far.

It's blatant age discrimination! Abbott requiring workers over 40 to sign an agreement not to sue for such in return for severance agreements is an admission of guilt.

Actually it is the law for layoffs of more than the number in the law. It is a union law to allow employees to sabotage their work before leaving
