So a brokered convention can consider someone new but not one who has already withdrawn? Didn’t know that

That is the total margin. Split out the early vote.

Trump won the early vote by a large margin.

The election day vote was tied - with Cruz slightly ahead (0.2%)

Poll conducted March 6, 2016, and a larger than usual sample size of N = 663 compared to other polls.

Before I reply to your post, I want to be open that I donated to Cruz’ campaign, but I voted for Trump. I will happily vote for EITHER of them (or any other Republican) against Cankles.

The system is rigged by the GOPe against a guy like Cruz, and on top of that we’ve already just about finished with states in which he has a natural constituency. How’s he going to do in NY, NJ, PA, IL and CA - all big delegate states - where (generally speaking) if people even know who he is, they dislike him?

Cruz was supposed to do very well on Super Tuesday and did pretty mediocre. That was going to vault him way over everyone else. How’d that work out?

So who has blown his wad?

This flies in the face of the Monmouth Poll that showed a narrower Trump lead. This was conducted yesterday so I’m pretty confident that Trump wins - and hopefully, handsomely.

Too little, too late. Trump is still up by 22% in Michigan. It’s unlikely to overcome such a lead with such little time remaining.

The GOPe still refuses to face the fact that Cruz is their last best hope of stopping Trump from winning the nomination.

Oh, they see that Cruz is their last hope. They're throwing big bucks at the Cruz campaign now, giving him endorsements, having Mitt say he could endorse Cruz but not Trump, and Lindsey Graham actually said Cruz over Trump.

They see it because they can't miss it. Their precious Bush is gone, Rubio's dropping like a rock, Kasich is the son of a mailman, and there's no where else to turn.

I have been supporting Trump all along, but when he said that low-wage foreigners should be allowed to displace Americans using H1B visas, the survival of the United States became much less probable.

He never said that. Trump said we need to keep talent in this country. He has said from the beginning that he wants students in our colleges to be allowed to stay. They would find their own jobs. And he immediately put out a statement countering this attack.

That's not facing the facts. Lindsey Graham isn't going to move the needle with his 0% support and halfhearted "endorsement." Mitt didn't endorse Cruz, he endorsed a brokered convention. Facing facts would mean acknowledging that a brokered convention nominating some candidate not supported by GOP voters would throw the election and that therefore the only option to stop Trump is going all in for Cruz. All in means endorsements, money and a full scale media campaign from the pundits the GOPe controls in support of Cruz.

That isn't something they're prepared to do, so it's going to be Trump.

Cruz will never be President. The GOP couldn’t stop Trump even with the entire national media and both political parties. But they’ll trample Cruz when the time comes or say he’s not qualified, move along.

Cruz will never be President.

His only path was after four to eight years as Trump's VP, but that's probably not going to happen.

So, Trump didn’t say, at a debate, in front of the whole country, “I’m changing it (my position), and I’m softening the position because we need to have talented people in this country.”

He didn’t say, “We need highly-skilled people in this country. For that purpose, we absolutely have to be able to keep the brainpower in this country.”

Because if he did say those things, he stabbed me right in the back.

The March 4 “clarification” is just so much fart gas. He let the truth slip out at the debate: he will allow businesses to increase their profits by importing cheap H1B foreigners and firing Americans.

There should never be another H1B visa for so long as a single American is put out of work by it.

If an employer hires an H1B foreigner and it is found that there was a single living unemployed American who could have filled that position, that employer should be jailed for thirty years.

That is exactly what he said but he never explains sufficiently. Trump has said from the beginning that he wants college grads to be able to stay here. They would find their own jobs, he just doesn't want to export that talent.

But Trump has never wanted H1b visas to replace American workers.

“Trump has said from the beginning that he wants college grads to be able to stay here. They would find their own jobs, he just doesn’t want to export that talent.”

I don’t want foreign students here in the first place. If they don’t have enough Americans to fill those university seats, then they need to abolish all degrees in “education” until they do.

They shouldn’t be here, and they damn sure shouldn’t be staying. That is just admitting that we have allowed the left to dumb down Americans to the point that they can’t function.

It is also an admission that they have no intention of giving Americans an adequate education, and the solution to that is *not* importing foreigners.

“But Trump has never wanted H1b visas to replace American workers.”

They have no other function. Oh, except helping to destroy America by packing our workplaces with foreigners.

You must be for Cruz who wanted a 500% increase in H1b visas and double green cards, right? Or Rubio, Gang of Eight?

I’ve been for Trump all along, as you can see from my posting history.

Oops, sorry. But Trump really isn’t for H1b visas, he will be good for American jobs.

Why is Ted Cruz still running an ad that said this house was taken down by Trump?

Because he's Lying Ted!
