Did Donald Trump's fax finally settle the debate over the facts?
One of the more contentious moments for the GOP front-runner at the latest Republican primary debate came when Sen. Marco Rubio and debate moderator Megyn Kelly questioned the performance record of Trump University, a now-defunct real estate training program that spawned class-action lawsuits by former students as well as a lawsuit by New York's attorney general.
On the stage, Trump maintained that the program, which was renamed the Trump Entrepreneur Initiative before ceasing operations in 2011, had earned an "A" rating from the Better Business Bureau, which both Kelly and Rubio disputed.
"The rating from the Better Business Bureau was a D minus," Kelly insisted.
Trump said that grade had been changed.
"It was elevated to an A," he countered over and over.
The dispute over the facts and Trump's veracity was left there during the televised face-off. However, at a commercial break shortly before the debate ended, Trump left the stage to hand a fax to Fox News' Brett Baier, who also moderated the event. Here is the moment captured by Independent Journal Review.
That fax, as Trump trumpeted via Twitter and in a Facebook post, contained the updated BBB letter grade.
The allegations around Trump University, the class-action lawsuits and the attorney generals case, are likely to continue dogging the billionaire businessman. But on one aspect of the issue, anyway, he might have made the grade.
Another news outlet, forget which one, said this is not true. They were not given a fax about his rating.
Sorry but the BBB already said they never faxed anything to Trump.
Glad to see the pic in this thread to prove he did give it to them.
“Sorry but the BBB already said they never faxed anything to Trump.”
Who claimed the fax came from the BBB?
Not true...
“The Better Business Bureau fired back at a report that it sent Donald Trump a fax in the middle of Thursday nights GOP debate showing Trump University with a A rating.
A video released by Independent Journal implies that BBB sent a fax in the middle of last nights Republican debate, which we did not. The BBB Business Review of Trump Entrepreneur Initiative (formerly Trump University) has shown No Rating continually since September 2015, it wrote in a statement.
The video in question showed Trump hand the debate moderators the fax during a commercial break but it was unable to be used as only the closing statements of the debate were left.
Better Business Bureau just sent it. It just came in. I just got it, he said in the clip published by the Independent Journal Review.
The bone of contention stemmed from earlier in the debate when moderator Megyn Kelly said the most recent rating from the BBB for the Trump University that was publicly available was a D minus.”
This must be why Fox was squawking about him breaking their rules. He called his campaign manager over to disprove the lap dancer’s lie about the BBB rating. The MSM hates being called.
PLEASE NOTE LETTER ‘A’ IN BOX GIVEN BY BBB
Nice validation. Thanks!
Faux News has no interest in the truth.....And the bottle blonde is a joke
Not true.
“The BBB responded to that tweet in its statement.
The photo tweeted out after the debate last night did not show the current BBB Business Review or the current rating, it wrote.
Over the years, the companys BBB rating has fluctuated between an A+ and a D-. At this time, the status is No Rating because the company is believed to be out of business, it added.
The A rating was for the second name he was forced to change due to legal pressure. It does not reflect the history of the original institution which was as reported
“The A rating was for the second name he was forced to change due to legal pressure. It does not reflect the history of the original institution which was as reported”
So, it was an A rating...
The phot clearly shows the ltter A within the box. Also, you may see the video of Trump handing FAX to moderators. The Trump Entrepreneur Initiative before ceasing operations in 2011, had earned an A rating from the Better Business Bureau.
Clinton Foundation Donor to Pay $95.5 Million Settlement to Justice Department
(out of a total $11 billion tax dollars The Education Management Corporation received)

A for-profit educational corporation that has donated to the Clinton Foundation agreed to pay $95.5 million to the Obama administration as a settlement for a government lawsuit alleging that it was using illegal tactics to lure in prospective students.
The Education Management Corporation was sued by the Department of Justice in 2011 for multiple recruitment violations, including paying its recruiters based on the number of students it enrolled, and exaggerating the career opportunities that were available to graduates. The lawsuit argued that the violations made the corporation ineligible for the $11 billion in state and federal financial aid it has received since 2003.
On top of the $95.5 million settlement, the group also agreed to forgive more than $100 million in loans it made to former students, according to the Associated Press. (Excerpt) Read more at freebeacon.com ...

MORE CLINTON DIRT--Laureate Education is a for-profit education firm; ex-Pres Clinton is a paid honorary chancellor.
This organization has some unusual practices.
For instance, its students serve as telemarketers who pitch the school to prospective new students. It operates in at least three countries (Turkey, Mexico and Chile) where for-profit universities are illegal, author Schweizer notes.
Douglas Becker (a FOB), runs the for-profit university, which engages Bill Clinton to give speeches several times a year. Based on Clintons gargantuan fee scale, that works out to Pres Bill getting perhaps $1 million a year from Laureate, Clinton Cash author Schweizer estimates.
(NOTE On falsified disclosure forms, Pres Bill revealed only that he has been paid more than $1,000 by Laureate.)
Becker also runs a related nonprofit, International Youth Foundation, which coincidentally found its federal grant money has exploded (according to author Schweizer) since Hillary became secretary of state (in 2009) and Bill became honorary chancellor of Becker/s profit-seeking company.
Many of International Youth Foundation grants came from tax dollars---from a State Dept agency---USAID.
Then SoS Hillary took official control of USAID, a move that dramatically reduced its independence, Clinton Cash author Schweizer says.
Truth be told, using brilliant graphics, Megan Kelly took Trump to the cleaners showing his Trump University was a scam from beginning to end.
This is all ridiculous. Trump attackers refused to look at the Trump U lawsuit and read the details, yet strain their necks where the fax came from and refuse to acknowledge what's on the fax.
Makes me wonder when people say they read a book, did they only read the cover, or did they indeed read all the words between the covers.
Does anyone know how many people attended Trump University or Trump Entrepreneur Initiative? Do the 10,000 surveys they point to with a 98% approval rating represent the entire of those who took the course?
