"In no way, whatsoever, will Cruzers stand by and let the GOPe steal this nomination away from Trump in a Brokered Convention!"

Thoughts ?

I'm with ya, buddy.

I can't stand the Free Republic civil war the past several months.

I've always thought Trump and Cruz would be a great team.

I was NeverRomney before I was NeverTrump and I'm also NeverBrokered as well. I won't countenance any GOPe shenanigans. I'll vote 3rd party.

Rubio needs to drop out now.

I would prefer Trump but would be okay with Cruz if he were the nominee. I do wish Cruz didn’t have such close ties to Wall Street but that’s just the way it is whether intentional or not.

It would be a shame to see Ruboto or Kasich pushed in a brokered convention and go against the will of the people. We have seen far too much of that already from the Republicans.

Vote you conscience. But does that include the territories? What about military brats? What about born at sea or in the air? What about easy staff? Do you include anchor babies?

Ivana and Trump have been FRIENDS for a very long time. Her immediate support for him, as soon as he announced that he was running, was no surprise at all.

Cruz would be the VP in 10 nanoseconds if Trump would just ask and stop the attacks.

I like them both too. Cruz is younger than Trump.

Instant face saving formula!

Sorry Cruz guys. If Trump announced Cruz as the VP, that is the day I could no longer support Trump.

Don't you get it!? Cruz is not eligible to be President so how could he be the VP?

He’s eligible. Please remove the tinfoil.

The lawsuits that were supposedly going to crush his candidacy in the minds of Trump fans are easily being picked off like a few nuisance gnats or an errant bread crumb on your lip.

N.Y. WILL go for Trump; both in the primary and the general.

No other candidate can win N.Y. state in the general, but Trump, who beats Hillary there!

Cruz might need Trump, but Trump doesn’t need Cruz at all.

N.Y. state is already ALL for Trump!

Many can't stand Cruz because of his snide remark about N.Y. and no, the erstwhile apology only made things worse for him there.

No, they don't "get it" at all and the unicorns and fairy pipe dream of Trump/Cruz is major insanity!

Trump doesn't need Cruz on the ticket at all! In the general, Texas as a RED state, goes Trump anyway, if he is the nominee. Cruz brings only BIG PROBLEMS to the table, as the VEEP. It'll NEVER happen and these discussions are ridiculous.

No...they have three children together; they have always been close after the divorce.

You don't know what you're talking about at all.

Remember that paper you had to write in fifth grade? The subject was "if wishing could make it so." You should have learned that you cannot wish away an unalienable truth. Ask any of our founders if a person born in Canada to a foreign father could ever be President of our Republic and they would say no to a man.

Man I’m not sure many of your gimme Cruz or death compadres would agree

It Trump takes MI and IL and FL as expected and then goes northeast I think he gets the delegates he needs

But I do appreciate your congeniality

Thanks!

It would make sense given Trumps age

Man the donor class would go massive seppuku

Problem is Cruz thinks he has an outside shot for brokering and who knows who’s whispering in his ear

Rubio is gonna have to try Florida just like the gunfighter bounty hunter in Josey Wales who loses his nerve and then comes back in cause he has to

And Wales says “I know”

And trump knows he’s still favored to get the delegates

Hence it ain’t gonna happen now

I’d rather see Cruz on the SCOTUS.

For reasons of personality, neither Cruz nor Trump will settle for VP. There will be no deal between them.

Trump is Trump. He didn’t get in this to be no. 2, and sit in the the US House of Lords pounding a gavel for 4 or 8 years.

Cruz has been working towards this since he was in high school. He wants it bad. He also knows that he has burned so many bridges that this will be his only real shot at the prize, and that depends on being able to tamp down the inevitable Rat party eligibility challenges.

But the GOPe has no intention of allowing either of them to be the nominee.

They know that Rubio doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning. They also now know that Jeb has virtually no appeal, so that explains why Romney has suddenly crawled out of his cave in the last few days.

They have the power to manipulate the vote counts to make sure neither Cruz nor Trump walks into the convention with enough delegates.

Assuming no indictment, it will be Romney vs. Clinton in November.
