Former House Majority Leader Tom Delay told Cavuto the GOP voters need to understand that the delegates pick the nominee.
Tom Delay: Its not stealing the nomination. Its the process. People need to realize that this is not an election of a president. This is the nomination of a candidate. And theres a process and theres rules and everybody has a fair shot at those rules. But in the end, the representatives, the delegates make the decision at the convention one way or another. And if no candidate gets to the convention with the majority of the votes then the delegates, duly elected to represent the people who have voted, get to decide. Its not stealing anything.

I have never been called a liar so much for posting facts except when I was on a liberal board where they hate facts. If the majority of the party find Trump unacceptable, then Trump shouldn’t be our candidate because he will never get elected.
Name how many that SHOULD have been replaced.
The possibility of a brokered convention is brought up and strategized for in every cycle.

tell stupid nice try, but we the people elect the delegates and at least the first round they have to do what we said.
What Delay is saying is correct. The rules are rules. However, he also needs to know that no one has to vote for someone they don’t want to vote for. That means it’s perfectly legal to vote third party. Those are some other “rules”.
You have never been above craven tendentiousness on religion threads.
What? I don’t post on religious threads.
My apologies.
I’ve confused you with someone else.
Anyone with access to the internet should be able to come with the answer himself. And if the question is “has that ever happened”, the answer is yes.

I for one am sick and tired of being told that the only way you can be a conservative is voting for a con man. If he wins the nomination I'm going constitunalist or natural law parties.
But you don't want to say who or why.... Curious. Could there be mitigating circumstances you don't want revealed? How does one phrase a boolean search for such a detail?
Oh brother, now I am calling you a liar? Does that mean you really do believe it is part of the normal nomination process forever for those not running to declare a strategy to broker the convention? Nothing at all has changed and everything is just proceeding as they always have?
You will please note the qualification to my statement where you claim I am calling you a liar. But I don't expect you to actually recognize that, you seem too comfy with being victimized.
I don’t get paid to teach you history, the internet is at your finger tips, go find the answers for yourself.
“What was the result of the charges? “
I remember Ronnie Earle and his witch hunt against DeLay. The Hammer was eventually cleared of everything, years later.
The Hammer is establishment GOP though, 100%. Just sayin’
Yes, I believe that strategies are figured out in nearly every election year to broker the convention, if possible. It’s not something that is wrong or unthinkable to do. I’m not naive. It is part of the process. Trump needs to get the majority of delegates to support him if he wants to be the nominee. The rules apply to him just as they do to every other candidate.
You also have no problem taking unseemly advantage of technicalities.
I am not aware of ANY front runner denied the nomination, even from a brokered convention.
Were you saying this when Delay’s conviction was overturned, or are just saying it because he is contrary to your choice now?
The "facts" that you stated:
Like Tom Delay needs to talk, didnt he get booted out of the Senate?
And isnt he from Texas? Makes you wonder what hes trying to say, why doesnt he just come out and say it:
Trump isnt going to win, Im crooked and I say this because Im from Texas! POS!!!
I don't see these "facts" in the article. That is because they are not "facts", but are, instead, fabrications.
#1. Tom Delay has never been in the Senate. He was a member of the House of Representatives. Your fabrication is refuted in the second line of the article you posted.
#2. Tom Delay was not "booted" out of the House of Representatives. He chose to resign rather than fight the charges that were brought against him and try to do his job at the same time. Your fabrication is refuted in the sixth line of the article you posted.
#3. Tom delay is not "crooked". The charges were brought against him by a corrupt District Attorney in Austin. The DA took the charges to two different grand juries before he got an indictment. Upon indictment, the honorable Mr. Delay resigned from his elected position rather than have to fight the indictment and do the job he was elected to do. Your fabrication is refuted in the last line of the article you posted.
The eventual outcome of the indictment was that evidence supporting the charges was found to be "legally insufficient".
#4. Mr. Delay is from Texas. Uh, actually, you are correct on that point. Congratulations!
You know, on second thought, thank you for posting the facts that refute your fabrications so clearly.
Not getting a majority is not a “technicality” and you’re not aware because of your deliberate ignorance, a ten year old with the access to the internet can find the answer for themselves.
Rules is rules, y’know.
