Trump is talking about highly skilled workers where there is a shortage. Cruz and Rubio will let all the illegals in. Hey, that’s how they got in, so I can’t blame them.

The shortage every politician including Trump wants to fix is actually our lack of veggie pickers, maids, and the dirt cheap illegal workers real estate developers want to violate state regulations in the dark of night so construction can begin ...with no pesky American born, English speaking whistleblowers slowing things down just because they have a conscience and spot something unlawful.

We have too many skilled workers:

Cruz is as wrong on this as is Trump.

Cruz does still stand on his 500% increase, but may change that after his 180-day review period.

Do you do warm-up stretches before you start your daily contortions? So are you saying Trump doesn't want the low-skilled H1-B visa workers (doing jobs Americans won't do)...he only wants H1-B visas for the high-skilled, high-paying jobs that Americans won't do? Or do Americans want those jobs? I'm confused by the constant twists and turns from this guy.

Except that Cruz doesn’t want to let them in. He’s been consistently against illegal immigration and amnesty.

There is no shortage of highly skilled workers. Trump f'ed up and he needs to clarify exactly what he means or he loses me.

There is not a shortage though. This fact should be self evident in wages. If there was a shortage STEM jobs where most of the H1Bs are issues we would see wages in STEM moving strongly upward. What we actually see is wages are stagnant or even declining in some places. This is basic economics telling us there are no shortages except in the number of companies willing to pay American scientists and engineers what they are worth.
