The Romney attack-Trump speech we just witnessed was the big kickoff of the GOPe's last-gasp get-Trump campaign that we all knew was coming.

Now the next shoe drops. Tonight we'll probably see Cruz and/or Rubio attack Trump by spring-boarding off of GOPe stalking-horse two-time loser Mitt Romney. They’ve run out of their own attack positions, not to mention that Romney threw every vile lie and piece of dirt that the entire GOPe cold scrape up, and Romney’s attack has essentially officially sanctioned Cruz and Rubio to use any and all underhanded tactics conceivable against Trump.

If they do, then it puts them firmly in The Club of the GOPe, insider, rich-boy, plutocrat, oligarch, string-puller, donor class GOP aristocracy: the very powers-that-be that foist the McCains,Romneys and Rubios on the rank-and-file working class GOP voters to whom they have complete disdain for.

The GOPe get-Trump committee got together in secret over the last few days and came up with this plan and wrote this speech and got Romney to read it for them because they knew Romney still had the gravitas to get broadcast on all the news channels for free.

As Breitbart.com said today, Romney is the hill that the GOPe chose to die on. Either this speech 1.) helps Trump because the GOPe's out-of-touch attack on the GOP's leading candidate supported by the largest number of rank-and-file voters is simply more gasoline dumped on nearly 20 years of already red-hot anger, thus further propelling Trump towards being the GOP nominee, in which case the entire GOPe lobbyist, special interests, consultant class complex dies; or 2.) this last-gasp GOPe attack hurts Trump, leading to a brokered convention with some loser the rank-and-file voters hate, leading to a Hillary victory and the loss of the Senate and House as the rank-and-file GOP voters finally say enough is enough and stay home, culminating in the final, permanent, destruction of the U.S. Constitution when Hillary appoints Barrack Hussien Obama as Antonin Scalia's replacement. This lose-lose position taken by the GOP aristocracy is typical behavior by the Stupid Party, unlike Trump's positions where he wins with nearly any outcome, as explained by "Dilbert" creator Scott Adams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kydKTVLmP58&feature=youtu.be.

Romney's get-Trump speech has finally laid naked for all to see that the Democrat party aren't the REAL enemy of the people, instead the REAL enemy is the fake opposition party to the Democrats. The Democrats no longer pretend to be what they are not: they now overtly campaign as the party of national socialism, period. The Democrats have also repeatedly demonstrated that they are willing to sacrifice their individual members to advance their socialist agenda, e.g., Obamacare cost them the House and the Senate. The GOPe is willing to sacrifice nothing.

The GOPe is interested in nothing but keeping their own gravy trains chugging along. And thus with Romney's get-Trump speech, we all have proof positive of what we've known all along: the GOPe is nothing but the minority partner of the Uniparty, but that's quite good enough thank you very much, just so long as their gravy trains keep pulling into the hog trough station, loaded with all of those free shrimp cocktails and caviar at the posh gala D.C. soirées, free jet trips around the world, free five star hotel living, free five star restaurant dining, and free skybox seats at the major league sporting events, all paid for by the peasants and lobbyists.

Finally, one of the most interesting aspects to Romney's get-Trump speech is that it was even necessary, because the GOPe as stupid as it is, did at least realize that neither Cruz nor Rubio had the chops to take Trump out, necessitating the GOPe to step in and bail them out. It's too bad Romney never attacked Obama the way he attacked Trump, but then again, clearly Romney finds Obama associate, criminal and traitor Hillary Clinton more acceptable than GOP leader Donald Trump. And one final thing worth noting is that the GOPe finds Cruz, Rubio and Kasich perfectly acceptable to them; Trump is the only one they are scared of, Trump is the only one they feel they cannot control, Trump is the only one who is not a member of The Club, Trump is the only man of the people. Trump is simply unacceptable to the true enemy of the people: the GOPe aristocracy.

they now overtly campaign as the party of national socialism, period.

I think the brand of socialism that the Democrats espouse now is more of a global socialism than a national one. They want the wealth of the US to be spread to the world and they want to world to tell us what to do. And those who want America to remain uniquely American, they want dead.

It's quite different from the national socialism of Hitler and Mussolini.

That loser Romney is in lala land. He basically embarrassed himself and the GOPe today. Even the Fox pundits were abandoning Mitt.

Is Romney mentally ill? Delusional? Have a messianic complex? Surrounded by bad ambitious advisors?
He has ample opportunity to inspire people to vote for him to be POTUS and failed. Miserably. Rick Santorum wiped the floor with him until he ran out of money.

He is dull and stiff and lacks any qualities that promote empathy with the 99%

The GOPe would rather lose to a Dem than to a Conservative. Tells you who they feel that they have more in common with.

That’s why Trump is doing as well as he is, at least in part. The base is tired of being used and taken for granted by the establishment types, and being fed an endless stream of mushy centrists who don’t seem to actually stand for anything much beyond ‘it’s my turn’.

It’s time for some really big changes in the leadership of the GOP. Either that, or we end up with a new party, and they can finish running the burned out hulk of the GOP into the ground.

Trotting out a losing candidate to go on TV and badmouth the guy who’s soaring in the polls under the (R) banner is the worst thing they could have done for themselves.

The general assumption seems to be that Romney wants to stop Trump from getting the nomination, so he, Romney, will get the nomination at the convention.

Is he that stupid to think by shafting Trump and his supporters that he, Romney, would win the election if the convention did nominate him?

Talk about THE PARTY OF STUPID!

So who's being the authoritarian dictator now?....

Who put Romney in charge to overrule the votes of the party members?

But implicit in Romney's request to his team to explore the possibility of a convention fight is his willingness to step in and carry the party's banner into the fall general election as the Republican nominee. Another name these sources mentioned was House Speaker Paul Ryan, Romney's running mate in 2012.

They just threw Cruz, Rubio and Kasich under the bus...This is an admission that none of the three will win the race but also that none of them are being considered for the position in a brokered convention...

If Cruz is what he says he is and not just a GOPe hack, we'll see it in the debate tonight...Cruz's only chance of a political appointment or a VP position are thru Donald Trump, unless his rebellion in the Senate was all for show...

Out of touch and beyond belief that they can’t see it.

So, maybe they see it but don’t care.

I’ve said all along that this will be a long struggle, not just an election cycle or two.

If this happens all this will prove is that the Republican Party is DEAD and that their ultimate objective is to keep the Democrats in power..actually Romney’s little speech today proved that, all he did was give the Democrats all the talking points they need for November, now they dont even have to come up with their own material they have it now without even trying

I am a Cruz supporter but will vote for Trump if he wins the nomination.

If they block the leading candidate from getting the nomination at convention they are scoundrels and have no respect for the voters.

If these stupid bastards are not careful, Trump will walk in the door in Cleveland with 1,600 delegates.

But, as is their want, the GOP will view posturing as FAR more important than results.
