The scientist who likes both Bernie and Donald (48, California) ‘I’m very concerned about radical Muslims’ I moved to San Francisco from the UK in 2000. I’m a citizen now and I voted for Obama. I am a closet Trump supporter and I haven’t told any of my friends or co-workers. They would think of me as a meat-head if they knew.

The funny thing is that I like Trump and Sanders, and there’s no party or politician for me.

And they're getting a taste of having the race card thrown at them, which, many being "good leftists" , is not sitting well with them at all. It's interesting to watch this happening at DU.

I don’t trust anyone who promises free everything to everyone, someone has to pay for all that “free” stuff, and guess who that will be-not the very wealthy who can afford loopholes and lawyers to find them, not the generational welfare parasites-but the ever-more-squeezed middle class.

That's funny. I posted the same thing about a week ago:

Funny, cause it's true. Of the several people I've talked to about politics (I'm in Dallas, liberal Texas area), those who are thinking of Trump usually break down into two groups:

- One-third is debating between Trump and Cruz.
- Two-thirds is debating between Trump and Bernie.

I don't think it really has anything to do with crossover votes for chaos. His support/turnout is Pubs that are fed up with the GOPe, and Trump is the most vocal attack-dog, and the rest is younger people who don't know much, and just like him because he's a celebrity.

Thank God we get to mature! My first presidential vote was for Jimmy Carter. My second was for Ronald Reagan.

Ha, I'm the same way! My first vote was for McCain, my second was for Johnson or whoever the Libertarian guy was. Not Romney.

I don’t agree with Bernie’s ‘pie in the sky’ redistribution ideas either. That kind of stuff doesn’t work - - never has, never will... Communism tends to devolves into totalitarian thug elites running hellholes... anywhere...

I was talking only about a war situation.

I found the many points of view from many walks of life very interesting in this article. Here is one that was very striking to me:

The gay Arab Muslim student (20, Missouri)

As a gay muslim, the Republican Party has not been kind to me, to say the least. However the Democrats almost arrogantly expect me to hand my vote to them because of who I am, which insults me.

I am a son of immigrants but we have always followed the law to the letter. Donald Trump’s discussion on immigration is extremely relevant. I even support the temporary ban on Muslims, even though I still have many law abiding family members in Syria who deserve the opportunity to come to the US and escape the horrors of the war. We don’t vet these people properly. To let them in willy nilly is ludicrous.

Ironically enough, Trump may be the best thing for moderate average Muslims Trump will break the poisonous bonds that hold America and the cult state of Saudi Arabia. Clinton would never do that; she would continue supporting Saudi Arabia while bombing Islamic countries left and right.

My parents are horrified at the thought of a Trump presidency. They say things like “Trump is going to round up all the Muslims and put them in camps.” For all his bombastic remarks, Trump will not attack innocent Muslim countries. Ironically enough, he may be the best thing for moderate average Muslims. He isn’t our enemy, he is the enemy of the globalist Wahhabi cult that has propagated mass violence and murder through out the world.
