Cute. Did you have help thinking that up?
First you complain that I only visit one thread. Then complain that I am destroying the entire site.
Ah sloop, you got me...You only do damage to those who agree with you, not the whole site.
For the most part, I may be compelled to reply to one of your insolent comments on this one thread (you never did answer how many threads you have posted = NONE), but I will never respond to your attacks because you simply are not worth it until you clean up your act.
74 was for you
My bad
Levin and OReilly both love disco
For anyone self respecting who grew up then and knows Rock and Rock and Roll
That would be what we call a “tell”
And a complimentary one

My band played our school’s 7th and 8th grade dances in ‘77 and ‘78, in the middle of the disco era. The only danceable music was either vintage (’50s) rock or funk/disco. And the ‘50s were long gone. Our drummer and bass player, big funk fans both, tried to convince me and the other guitarist that our usual Zep and Stones and Skynyrd repertoire wasn’t going to cut it for a dance, and that we had to learn new material. The stuff that the jr. high girls liked at the time, specifically. And you know what that meant. They wanted Saturday Night Fever fare.
We settled on a couple of Bee Gees and a couple from EWF and a couple Billy Preston hits and maybe one from Parliament. But we started the gig with the rock we knew and loved. NO ONE danced. In fact, they all looked at us like we were insane. The drummer gave me a look that said ...”see?” So we launched into the new material and the girls got moving. ....and that’s what it’s all about.
The classic rock had to wait for other venues.
I can see BOR and Levin sporting the bell bottoms under the mirror ball at disco clubs, dancing to the Village People. .....and it ain’t a pretty sight.
LOL thanks for posting this Salamander :)
