I’d love someone to research at what point a) in this campaign and b) in his Senate career, Rubio started to call upon the memory of Reagan.

What conservative movement? I look back over the decades and I don’t see a conservative movement at any time, not even during Reagan’s terms.

He makes it sound like that would be a bad thing.

WTH has he ever done in the name of conservatives?

He ran for office in the name of conservatives. They still have his knife in their spine to prove it.

Back in the 1950’s, Republicans who embraced the New Deal and welfare state socialism called themselves “Modern Republicans.” The “modern conservative movement,” whose members join outfits like the Gang of Eight, sounds like the 21st century equivalent.

I’d say there no conservative movement in the modern times.

It’s all about open borders, homosexuality , cross dressing, unfair trade, and spend more to agree with the left.

I think unprecedented control of the House and Senate by supposedly Conservatives we put in office that produced EVERYTHING Obama wanted Fast-Tracked is what has KILLED the party.

Ted Cruz and Rubio voted for Fast Tracking the TPP. ‘Nuff said.

I was a Cruz supporter (being from Texas) but found myself time after time calling his office about for example increasing the H1B Visa - he was FOR it.

I have friends who have a CS degree and 20 years experience that no longer have jobs (for 2+years) because they got replaced by H1B Visa workers that are paid 20k/yr. After they stay here a couple of years, the company flushes them and hires more. It’s a revolving door. MANY companies are doing this all over the USA.

They replaced the DISNEY IT workers this way.

WOW JUST WOW.
I posted what I thought then saw your post and it mirrors mine.

Here is my post.

I’d say there no conservative movement in the modern times.

It’s all about open borders, homosexuality , cross dressing, unfair trade, and spend more to agree with the left.

I was merely pointing out in response to your post that it wasn’t Rubio, but Cruz, who spoke of ‘prayerfully.”

I also voted in my primary for Trump and now await results across the country. I would LOVE to see such an atypical person elected POTUS and see what he can do that no one else can.... time will tell!

That sickened me.

He wanted others to drop out so he can beat Trump, no mention of beating Clinton

If by “modern conservative” he means crony capitalists who don’t give a crap about the middle class, then all I can say is “Amen”!

The modern conservative movement ended when George H. W. Bush broke his "No New Taxes" pledge and raised them in 1990. It has been a steady slide since then.

It's amazing that the GOP has been able to limp along for so long without a clue to this.

“Im SICK of the ‘modern’ conservative movement.”

“Modern Conservatism” as practiced by the GOPe is a scam on all decent conservatives. They’ve “played us” for the very last time. Eff em! Rancid Penis can take “his” RNC and shove it!
