While I applaud Trump for using Democrats to build a lead... it all starts to come crashing down on Saturday.

Democrats don't get to pick our nominee in Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana and Maine.

Caucus states are suspect. For example, how many purple shirted goons were present to take names in Nevada? I daresay a caucus vote is not necessarily predictive of the secret ballot general election. And that is why I am adamantly opposed to having electronic voting machines spit out a “receipt” showing how an individual voted. Too much chance for a union goon to demand the receipt in order to work and fat chance for your continued employment prospects if that vote is “wrong.”

Another thing I heard yesterday is sHrillary screeching about how GM workers had donated “millions” to her campaign. From the unions, sure, I can believe it; from the rank and file? No way.

How does anyone know for a fact it’s Dems jumping ship

How do they not know it’s more motivated GOP OR VOTERS IN GENERAL FOR TRUMP

OR EVEN CRUZ

ANSWER IS THEY DON’T

It’s a tool to dampen Trumps victories

The GOPe loved open primaries when they rigged the vote to save Thad Cochrane in Mississippi in 2012. I’m guessing they don’t like them so much now.

But the Dims have to be quaking with fear, too. They wanted their voters to stay inside the fence and vote for Hillary. This is not a case where they sent them into an open primary to sabotage conservatives. This is a case of the sheep escaping, in their eyes.

The new meme from the Cruz crew.

They will toss it around until they convince themselves that no Trump win is legit and that Cruz will totally still win the nomination.

After the first one Cruz lose, they will move to a new one.

So basically Trump can win Reagan democrats over. Cruz can’t.

Trump will win ME, KY, and likely LA. Kansas I have no idea.

Cruz at best will win 1 of the 4.

Then you’ll need a new meme.

Cruz is just a brokered convention pawn at this point.

Rubio is really obnoxious at this point, he points out that 60% of the votes last night didn’t go to Trump, but of course fails to mention that 85% didn’t vote for him.

No surprise that Dems are voting for Trump. But this will backfire on them. I think either Trump or Cruz will win easily over Clinton in the November election.

It’s not just Democrats in open primaries, it’s Independents. Two in my family have gone Independent because they’re sick of Republicans. That’s actually Trump’s base. Many like me have stuck with Republicans to have a say but many Republicans don’t recognize the danger and think it’s business as usual.

Thus, Cruz.

Open Republican primaries are just more proof the GOP is the stupid party.

You have to be on acid to think open primaries are remotely logical or at all in the party’s best interest.

Trump’s got an advantage whenever Democrats can help pick the candidate they want to run against.

Sarah Palin's endorsement of Trump didn't seem to have too much impact in Alaska at all.

Trump wins unprotected primaries.
Cruz wins protected primaries.
I see that as Trump being more viable outside the safe zone.

I remember in 2008 and 2012 many of the people here on this forum were screaming bloody murder about the open primaries that were allowing Dems and “independents” to come in and pick the GOP candidate. The open primary system was implemented specifically by the GOP to allow a “moderate” (read “northeast liberal”) candidate to win over the conservative.

It seems the same thing is happening this year, but apparently the Trump supporters are all in favor. I guess as long as it’s their preferred northeast liberal, it’s okay...

Well then Rejoice Purity Choir!

The Cruz team have NOTHING to worry abut. Now that the closed Primary states are up you, and the rest of the pure hearts, will vote for the god king St Ted of Texas assuring him the Nomination without any of those nasty infidel independents or heretical Reagan Democrats messing up your purist utopia.

And then with that same “purity uber alles” dogmas you will lose the General Election badly trying to run with a fraction of your political base as your only support allowed.

National Election are not won solely by winning the votes of the choir.
