Trump Is Now Unstoppable. It's Game Over For Cruz, Rubio, Kasich And Carson
foxnews.com ^ | March 1 | Ed Rollins

Game over! This was a rout, America. Winning seven states and the vast majority of delegates is a landslide. Donald Trump and the millions of his supporters have changed American politics and the Republican Party for the foreseeable future.

The nomination is within his grasp and if he does what he said he would do Tuesday night: "[I will] be a unifier!" he may be a very viable candidate against Hillary Clinton in the fall.

After his victories Tuesday night in multiple states and his second place finish in others , Trump is in an unstoppable position. Whether the junior senators from Texas and Florida choose to pursue him, it doesn’t matter, the end is near.

Trump, who is an unconventional candidate, to say the least, has tapped into the anger and frustration across America and has mobilized voters to turn out in record numbers.

Love him or hate him, be inspired by him or be appalled by him, Trump has totally dominated a political cycle like no other politician I’ve seen in decades.

I admit I was a total skeptic, like many others.

At first, I didn’t think he would run.

Then I thought there was no way he could beat the all-star cast of elected officials running against him.

Then I underestimated his lack of substance and trite answers in the debates.

Then I was convinced the political establishment was going to spend millions and take him out. And like the Energizer bunny he just keeps going and winning!

Trump is getting stronger by the day and his supporters are locked in and not going away. And no one has mastered the media like this since Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders.

What's ahead is a Republican Party that either becomes part of his movement or splinters

[Donald Trump Praises Planned Parenthood Again, Attacks “So-Called Conservatives” Who Disagree]

Did you even watch the clip where he said that, or are you just copying headlines as they are writted??

Again, he praised the legimate healthcare services they provide (or used to provide) and condemned their abortion services. He said he would NOT fund them if they continued with abortions.

If you pulled your head out of your rear and actually paid attention sometimes, rather than sheepishly being duped by twisted headlines, you would see what’s really going on and not make this stupid claims.

Ed Rollins... architect of the last stalking-horse candidacy that gave us a Clinton presidency. How perfectly fitting.

The next ‘super’ Tuesday in two weeks is mostly winner-take-all.

That could change the picture significantly.

If Rubio and/or Cruz do not pick up several states, the delegate count will likely be unsurmountable.

Trump is still winning by about 2-to-1.

Trump 50% of delegates
Cruz 33% of delegates
Rubio 17% of delegates

Also coming into consideration is the RNC Rule #40 where a candidate has to earn 50+% of the delegates in at least 8 states to be eligible for nomination on the first ballot.

The preliminary count is:

Trump:

South Carolina
Georgia
Alabama
Massachusetts
Tennessee

Cruz:

Texas

Rubio:

None

Trump: Ryan can get along with me or ‘pay a big price’

Awesome.

Ryan to Trump yesterday: ESAD.

It’s a two way street, FRiend. Have you been asleep? The GOP have been calling Trump the grand wizard of the KKK and his supporters Klansmen. BTW, Trump was also conciliatory to Ryan but every man has his limits.

Ed was also convinced conservatives would choose Christie in 2012. How again did THAT play out?

Trump is going to win and what you just admitted is that you’re willing to flush your vote down the toilet because you’re too “principled”.

I didn't use the word "principled" - but I would be happy to do so.

Your analogy falls apart because my vote is not sh#t. It's a valuable commodity and I won't sacrifice my personal principles at the alter of populism. Trump is not qualified to lead the country. Period.

I won't vote for what I can't support. I can't support Trump at all. His faults out weigh whatever he might bring to the "deal."

NO DEAL!

If Trump is the nominee, I’ll probably vote Libertarian.

I get that some people appreciate his demeanor, threats and coarse language but it isn’t something I can get behind. Toss in the anti-Christian bigotry from many of his supporters and it becomes ‘no way.’

If Trump made a ad with a total, complete, one-hundred-percent premeditated, malicious lie, I’d stop backing him.

Cruz does have a remarkable ability to read Trump’s mind. The way he just rattles off those lies about Trump is breathtaking. I wonder if he gets that from his nutty Dominionism?

I have to admit, I am offended by JimRob’s comments. If he and others wish to purge FR then that is their call. Those of us have supported FR for many years will leave if asked. What I find very troubling is that you, mkjessup, among others, have posted so much in-your-face gloating and vitriol towards any on this board who you deem to oppose Trump that it has created an very unkind and unappealing site.

You and others are certainly entitled to support Trump, I may yet as well at some point, but your constant scorched earth, rapid fire retort towards any other FReeper is over the top and appears designed to intimidate and suppress the views of any who dare disagree with you.

Over the years I have greatly appreciated JimRob and Free Republic. I have put my money where my mouth is, but if you and others wish to purge this board of anyone who offends you or your positions, by all means just say the word and, speaking for myself, I will move along.

Yeah, Trump keeps insisting PP does a lot of good for women. Uh...what good, sir? I'm scratching my head with that one? Oh, you mean breast exams and pap smears? How about mammograms? No? Of course not! Uh, it's "birth control" right? ... that's it, birth control! And, abortions, of course!

Why tax money goes to PP is beyond me? I can't figure it out, especially when we have health clinics in nearly every town and city across the country, where women/and teenagers (let's be honest) can go get birth control, based on their income/financial need, etc. So, why does tax dollars support PP? There's no excuse for it. Period! I will add, though, that we have a lot more to worry about in this country in the short-term than the funding of PP.

Cruz WILL NOT end up with all of Rubio’s support you are dreaming!!!

That will be Cruz coalition after Rubio drops out. Jean skirt wearing Evangelicals and light in the loafers suburbanites. LOL. Of course Trump takes the middle of the base and steamrolls Cruz but it will be hilarious seeing Cruz trying to juggle those disparate balls.

Some words of wisdom for you to consider this morning:

“If Trump eventually turns out to be our nominee, my position could then very well be: all those who would rather let Hillary take the presidency should probably post elsewhere. Not silencing them, but they can post their diatribes on some other forum. RedState would probably be happy to take them on.

I am getting pretty sick of the same couple dozen people continuously posting their anti-Trump bilgewater 24/7 every damned day and stirring up endless flamewars.

This will end. That I promise you.

The problem with that is, he didn’t say ‘join me so WE can be the nominee’, just the opposite ‘ join me so I can be the nominee’.

Ted Cruz no longer has a campaign platform, IMO. He’s gone 100% anti-Trump.

“So no, it’s not over yet.”

No doubt Trump is in the lead, but it’s far from over. Trump was predicted to be a lot more dominant last night, but the fact is he lost 4 states, which was unexpected, and finished 3rd in MN. This shows there is still at least a couple more weeks left to go. So yes, as much as the Trump people want to strong arm us out of the race, we live to fight another day...

I’m going to ask a very serious question: What would Trump have to do or say, to get you to stop backing him?

=== === === === === ===

If Trump passed out Teddy Bears and soccer balls to illegal aliens OR voted for TPA OR had Glenn Beck support him OR had his campaign financed by Goldman Sachs, I would NOT vote for Trump.
