Trump Is Now Unstoppable. It's Game Over For Cruz, Rubio, Kasich And Carson
foxnews.com ^ | March 1 | Ed Rollins

Posted on 03/02/2016 4:17:32 AM PST by Helicondelta

Game over! This was a rout, America. Winning seven states and the vast majority of delegates is a landslide. Donald Trump and the millions of his supporters have changed American politics and the Republican Party for the foreseeable future.

The nomination is within his grasp and if he does what he said he would do Tuesday night: "[I will] be a unifier!" he may be a very viable candidate against Hillary Clinton in the fall.

After his victories Tuesday night in multiple states and his second place finish in others , Trump is in an unstoppable position. Whether the junior senators from Texas and Florida choose to pursue him, it doesn’t matter, the end is near.

Trump, who is an unconventional candidate, to say the least, has tapped into the anger and frustration across America and has mobilized voters to turn out in record numbers.

Love him or hate him, be inspired by him or be appalled by him, Trump has totally dominated a political cycle like no other politician I’ve seen in decades.

I admit I was a total skeptic, like many others.

At first, I didn’t think he would run.

Then I thought there was no way he could beat the all-star cast of elected officials running against him.

Then I underestimated his lack of substance and trite answers in the debates.

Then I was convinced the political establishment was going to spend millions and take him out. And like the Energizer bunny he just keeps going and winning!

Trump is getting stronger by the day and his supporters are locked in and not going away. And no one has mastered the media like this since Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders.

What's ahead is a Republican Party that either becomes part of his movement or splinters

Really?

From what I saw in voting results, a majority of republicans did not vote for him.

How is that unstoppable?

“Trump needs to skip the next debate. “

Eh, that didn’t work out so good for him last time he did that.

I do not think he is prone to repeat mistakes.

If he is, he is not Presidential material.

I still think they are planning on running a ringer at the last minute. I heard one even mention Jeb Bush.

They ain’t gonna allow Trump to destroy their gravy train.

Romney and his stooge Senator Sasse are already planning to run a 3rd party “constionalist” run if Trump gets the nom. Check out Sasse’s twitter and facebook.

20% dems which is a very high number have crossed over in a spoiler to ensure a hildabeast win. The usual is 5%.

You know...I voted Cruz yesterday, but for you to think that we’ll be better off with Hillary is beyond the pale.

Trump is going to win and what you just admitted is that you’re willing to flush your vote down the toilet because you’re too “principled”.

We don’t need liberals to defeat us. We have just enough sour grapes conservatives holding guns to their own heads to finish us off just as easily.

Thanks a bunch “FRiend”....

Once again, pundits trying to apply conventional thought to the 2026 campaign.

They never learn. Apparently Ed Rollins never met Yogi Berra.

I can’t wait to see Cruz try to juggle his jean skirt Evangelicals and Rubio’s loafer wearing suburbanites. Becuase that’s going to be the Cruz coalition with Trump getting everything in between. Get your popcorn.

What would Trump have to do, for you to stop supporting him?

Break his promises on illegal immigration, specifically building a wall.

+++++

Now my question for you; what would it take for you to throw your support behind Trump?

[I am getting pretty sick of the same couple dozen people continuously posting their anti-Trump bilgewater 24/7 every damned day and stirring up endless flamewars. ]

But there’s been no problem with the anti-Cruz bilgewater for months. Are we not allowed to mention Trump’s liberalism and embrace of Planned Parenthood anymore? FR has lost it’s way when it starts banning conservatives for defending conservatism and conservatives.

"Ryan is "going to have to pay a big price." "

Good God in the Goosefat, when is Trump going to stop threatening people.

He's such a j@ck@ss.

And that is what this is about, the Gravy Train

Just think of all the poor unemployed lobbyists down in DC, they will have to actually get real jobs under Trump. They better polish up their resumes or learn a new skill or trade. The Trump train is unstoppable at this point

And that’s why the donor class will go to war against us now. This is cold, dead hands stuff. Trillions at stake with TPP and amnesty.

I’m not sure there is a lot of difference between Hillary and trump I suppose I vote trump because I’m only 95% sure he will ruin the country and I’m 100% sure Hillary will, but that’s a rotten reason to vote for someone There is a reasonable chance trump is to the left of Hillary when the dust settles

If the answer is nothing,

No one has said that.

But you desperately need them to, in order to win your argument.

As a matter of fact, it is not.

I note that you were not foolish enough to try to deny that McCain was working to arm the radical Muslims even then.

Nor were you insane enough to deny that the Muslims in question mean us harm.

That leaves you trying to deny the appropriateness of what I said while fully conceding it’s accuracy.

Trump said yesterday on Carr when questioned that he would be at the debate Thursday. He added that these debates are unnecessary at this point, and that the other candidates have nothing to lose by going after him.

I’m imaging a farce at the next debate. Rubio & Cruz will be looking like one campaign tag teaming Trump while Carson & Kasich stand ring side. They’ll look like buffoons, IMO.

I have no desire to argue about this or that candidate.

Then why are you arguing about one particular candidate ?

The best part of last night is that Rubio and Cruz got enough to justify continuing with the race. This keeps the Not-Trumps divided and he simply sails through the ‘winner takes all’ states needing only 30-35% of the votes

Basedon Graham’s endorsement of Cruz, I believe Rubio will “suspend” after he gets humiliated in FL and the GOPe will give Cruz a clear lane to take down Trump. If he can’t Rubio will jump back in the race for the convention.

When Foam Boy, Kasich and Sleepy Ben drop out, he just might do that

Even if Cruz takes over Rubio’s suburban light in the loafers demo he’s not catching Trump because Trump has broad support just about across the board.
