Vladimir Lenin said, There are no morals in politics; there is only expedience. A scoundrel may be of use to us just because he is a scoundrel. I cant think of a better description of Ted Cruzs relationship with the DC-Wall Street Establishment Cruz being the scoundrel of course. Cruzs claim of not being a tool of the political elite is like Bill Clinton telling the world, I did not have sexual relations with that woman. [

Total and complete BS
This bogus rumor was debunked yesterday, yet the lie is still being spewed here on FR.
I wonder if this might be a case of turning the Cruz Iowa trick played on Carson around, even though the entire scenario seems pretty implausible. But it does plant the idea that Cruz will not remain in the race.
Lol!
Los Hermanos de Cubanos will walk away from this with nothing.
Nothing.
Source for this BS story is some crackpot blog. Posting fail.
I see the word allegedly....Bye bye
Boy, listening to the media today, one would think Cruz is a shoe in...or Rubio. They are all attacking Trump viciously and shamelessly. Pathetic and irresponsible.
I don’t think this is true, what the hell would Rubio have to do with nominating Cruz for SCOTUS? Sure would be a longshot. Besides Cruz ego is such he will not drop out of the race...he will shoot for a contested convention. Democrat party are loving this, but scared to death Trump gets the nomination...just as scared as the Republican elitists and their mindless sheep...yes, that is you Cruzers and Rubio supporters.
Since RINO-ubion will not win, it matters not what he promises.
Let’s be real, the USSC should be filled with experienced judges, not first term Senators who ran a very bad campaign as some sort of reward or political payback.
BULL!!!!
Cruz isn’t interested in a Court position!!!
More sleazy tactics from Donald Trump.
Boulderdash!
Getting nominated is a far cry from getting the job. It would be pretty dumb to ‘demand’ a nomination. Cruz may be a lot of things but even Trump doesn’t call him dumb.
Absurd. A Senate that hates Cruz neverTrump confirms him to SCOTUS.
well, thank goodness there's still an invective that's acceptable to the press. I like the word, 'prick'; it's concise.
I admit I'm an age-ist. I believe Supremes should be old when they're appointed. Cruz was a bit too vinegary and not so much a team-builder in the Senate (but he tried hard), and, he could be the first SCOTUS member that the others unanimously vote to kick off the bench for talking too much (the last part is joking).
But it comes across strongly that he does love lawyering, so he might be much happier, and more in his element, as U.S. Attorney General. From there he could quick-step into the FBI, where he could accomplish a world of good, and he's got his status job and a pension in line with that of his spouse. Win-win for him and the USA, and he doesn't permanently shut the door on himself running for President again.
A lie. You probably no that. Shame on you.
I’d consider this if it was Trump he was asking, but asking the guy who hasn’t won a single state and won’t win any today? Doubtful.
This is stupid. Rubio is not winning anything.
Trump is now inventing lies to try and steal the election. This is rich coming from the campaign that attacked Cruz for weeks over his campaign passing on a Rumor that CNN started. So, can we now claim that any state that Trump wins is one that he stole from Cruz? After all if it is good for the goose then it is good for the gander. I think Trump needs to publically denounce Roger Stone or else it proves that he is the greatest liar in the world (and all the other things he called Cruz.)
Whether you like Ted Cruz or not, you have to admit that he is extremely bright. Surely he knows the odds of a Rubio victory. Why would he “demand” something that Rubio is unlikely ever to be in a position to give? This article is the usual anti-Cruz garbage.
Trump and Cruz are almost the only candidates supported at FR. We don’t have to trash the other guy to justify our support for our first choice.
