I am not a BOR fan. Just agreeing with the FACT that some kids will lie for their parents. I don’t know anything about the kids or ex-wife.

We had our last child 3 months before I turned 48, two months before my wife reached her 42nd birthday. He's now 14, and I have him and a 5 YO grandson who keep me young. I'm a very lucky man, dad, and opa.

No matter what one thinks of BOR, fathers don’t usually get treated well in custody disputes. Both mom and dad should encourage the children to respect the other and spend time with the other (its good for the kids)...unless one is just an absolute dangerous degenerate.

This doesn't really surprise me. O'Bloviate has a hair trigger temper, always has.
Puts his mouth in gear before engaging his mind, and that temper he's got was in
evidence way back in the day when he was hosting 'Inside Edition':

Well when BOR’s wife left him for a Long Island police detective who she subsequently married BOR tried to bribe the Police Chief to demote or get rid of the detective. It all got found out and BOR barely escaped criminal charges. He’s an azzhat with a really bad Irish temper. No doubt his kids don’t want to live that.

Exactly! I wish one of the candidates running for president would address that.
They would win in a landslide

Whats the difference, practically, between a divorce and an annulment?
I'm no expert, but from what I understand, annulment is the church determining that based on circumstances that they review, you were never "actually" married. I believe in the past, these circumstances were more stringent. Things like domestic abuse, or a spouse that committed serious crimes.
Nowadays, I think the standards are more lenient depending on your diocese. Sort of like when you get married outside the church, you have to apply to get your marriage "blessed" by the bishop in order to get the church to recognize it. I feel like annulment today, in many cases, is basically getting your divorce "blessed" in a way.
I'm not exactly the model Catholic though, so others may have a better explanation.

Yes, no good way for this to work out for the kids. The courts in MA did that in my family’s custody battle in 1974. We chose my dad but that caused a lifelong rift with my mother.
It would be really good if people sucked it up and tried harder to stay married. That said, if it is a case of mental or physical abuse, get out. But I suspect in most cases, it isn’t that.
To: DeathBeforeDishonor1
False allegations of abuse are Standard Operating Procedure in family courts and their sleazy lawyers.
It could be true, it could be false, it could be some incident blown out of all proportion.
All for the children.

No need to file - she’s Primary Custody so he’s automatically on the hook.

I think it’s a lifelong schtick that’s become habit.
To: mmichaels1970
Well, I was going after the practical implications. In both cases, you are no longer married, are free to marry someone else, even if you’ve been together for 25 years and have kids and property in common.
