To: Attention Surplus Disorder
Thank you for that. How is it possible that basic programming of computers and/or machines is not understood by voters? If our Freeper population can grasp that NSA is spying on us via our ubiquitous cell phones, scooping up the data (1’s and 0’s) of everyday life, how can they be incredulous about pre-programmed voting machine?

More to the point, perhaps, how can people think that when hackers can get into virtually everything, they can’t get into voting machines?

It’s kind of something to think about. When did ATM’s come into widespread use? 20 years ago? We walk up to an ATM, insert our card, punch in our code, and walk away with $100 and see a receipt stating what we’d expect; our balance declines $100 and there are those 5 twenties in our hand. We think nothing of it.
