Just reported 'on 1431 at a nursing home'. Double-check your votes today! This could be Travis or Williamson Co., caller refused to say.
He just got out from voting. 3/4 switches so far for Rubio, other was an unknown fringe candidate.
Any vote taken from Trump and shifted to Rubio helps both Rubio and Cruz. Easier to siphon off votes to Rubio and strengthen the GOPe candidate. The GOPe doesn’t like Cruz.
Evidently you’ve never voted a machine.
When you finished selecting, you have a choice to review all your choices on one screen. You can change any if you like and push the button.
I wouldn’t think the machine could change anything after that.
BTW, Machines are different in different places, I guess.
I vote with a rotating select button and ID.
We would not want this whether or not it “helps Trump win.” Not if we are going to have any credible concept of popular mandate left. What would we have thought about the Reagan landslide had this kind of goofiness been going on back then?
A machine that really does what people have expected it to do, shouldn’t be a matter of subtle rocket science. I’d expect it to yield up a receipt with a unique serial number and a list of what was voted for, that the voter could then choose to verify later if he or she wishes. If the verification fails, an investigation can be launched by request.
Interestingly, the last time I voted in PA they had put up signs in the polling place prohibiting the use of cell phones or video recorders.
Can’t have these mysterious vote changes turning up on YouTube now, can we?
Paper ballots AND a blue thumb!
“I wouldnt think the machine could change anything after that.”
The machine can do absolutely flaming anything it is programmed to do. It can display a vote for X when it tallied a vote for Y. It can tally up the votes and produce an arbitrary percentage win for Z. The math and the programming here is sub-trivial.
WTH? Where is the story?
I am saying that if you were trying to manipulate an election process that uses some type of electronic voting that you would do it like this:
The voting machine would not show you that it changed your vote. It would change it, behind the scenes.
Cruz not only has to win Texas, but win with 50%+ to get all of the delegates - A narrow win or loss means Trump still gets a nice chunk of that Delegate pie. And Cruz abandoned the other states to keep his hopes in Texas alive. Trump has a healthy lead in all of them.
Trump - massive delegate count
Cruz - needs huge Texas win to get back into race
Rubio - Cannot see him winning anything and 2nd place is still a loss
Kasich & Carson - Running to be relevant as a VP or Cabinet pick
You have a 20% threshold for getting any at large delegates in Texas. Capice? Retardio is not believed to have that much support.
Who switched the Dem and Rep voting machines! I want Answers!!
Probably votes automatically based on local cemetery populations too.
It’s people calling into the morning show. I guess nobody has video of their vote being switched yet.
Texas, where presidents get shot to death and supreme court justices die with a pillow over their head. Nothing to see here, move along people.
Machines should not be legal, then!
We have a lot of work to do.
Anything is possible in Liberal Travis County.
Donald Trump, this is real voter fraud...Iowa wasn’t.
Austin, the San Francisco of the South!
Austin, Caligula on the Colorado!
The whole concept of a machine as “something we trust” like an ATM is so problematical in so many ways.
I am pretty familiar with electronic stuff though I am not a programmer. But I know what programming is.
Even if the machine accepted your vote, then produced a receipt with, say, punched holes (picture an old IBM card) so that your vote was tallied and receipted in a very Fred Flintstone 1981 way, then you had the option of inserting your receipt into some kind of reader, say, optical, that would cross-check your e-vote with your paper vote record, that could still be easily subverted.
I see no way to immunize electronic machines from fraud. No way at all. Even if they were Z-80 microcomputers not hooked up to the internet with ROM-based firmware (eg; one would actually have to take a screwdriver to the machine and open it up and physically replace a chip to reprogram it/them, one by one) the transmission of the collated data would surely be via internet and the fraud could occur there.
