The constitution is all of 20 pages or so. Actual and real life is far more complicated than 20 pages. The constitution should not be expected to describe how every little possible action and event. It does not even define explicitly what is a NBC. Most articles in the constitution have to be “interpreted” what they really means by SCOTUS.
If Cruz is so much for the constitution, he should not even be running for president, until SOCTUS has ruled on his eligibility.
Cruz is very arrogant to think that a clearly ill-defined label, NBC, is exactly what he assumes it is. We need a formal, concise, clear definition for once and for all.
Here is what Cruz was. He had the ABILITY to be an American at birth. His mother apparently never pursued it. He crossed into the USA at age 4 as a Canadian. His whole childhood, on paper he was a Canadian. He didn’t know this; he thought he was an American. But the first paperwork he ever got was at 16. He literally spent 16 years of his life with NO AMERICAN DOCUMENTATION. He did have full Canadian citizenship. It really stretches any definition of NBC.
