20,000 Massachusetts Democrats switch parties before Super Tuesday
Posted on 2/29/2016 8:19:02PM by GonzoII
Thousands of Massachusetts Democrats have denounced their party affiliations since January 1 to jump across the aisle and join the ranks of Independent or Republicans.
Nearly 20,000 Bay State Democrats, or 1.3 percent of the party’s Masachussetts population, left to vote in the Republican primary Tuesday. More than 16,300 of that group have “unenrolled” or become Independent voters, while 3,500 have joined the GOP.
Mass. Secretary of State William Glavin attributed the switches to the “Trump phenomenon.” The billionaire candidate has a significant lead over fellow top contenders Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz in recent state polls.
“The tenor of the Republican campaign has been completely different from what we’ve seen in prior Republican presidential campaigns,” Galvin said. “You have to look no farther than the viewership for some of the televised debates.

C’mon Tennesseeans.......and all my relatives.....
MAKE ME PROUD!
Hahahahaha That’s cute, and how most of us feel today.
Thanks for the report!
Great news about TN and TX! People kept saying that Trump didn’t have good ground games and how fabulous the one Cruz had in IA and has in TX. Looks like Trump may have had a “stealth” ground game :-)
“I had people tell me but I already voted for Trump in early voting
You should have told them, that’s OK, you can vote again on Tuesday - the Dims do ;-) (just teasing)

Thanks for sharing the memories on Reagans primary victory. I was too you to vote for him originally and to follow the details of the primary. He was my first vote on reflection though.
Generally speaking, most people I know in the tech industry born here or who have citizenship and vote want Trump. Others want Cruz. No one is talking about Rubio except for his amnesty treason, but I have also taken the time to inform them of his alter ego; Foam-Boy.
Just voted. Steady, light traffic. Two signs outside the polls, both for Trump.
I’ve been praying since my brain woke up but my eyes were still closed. (1) Trump’s safety, (2) win every state.
I know that praying to win every state sounds greedy, but it’s important for a couple reasons.
“If it’s not close, they can’t cheat.” I think Hugh Hewitt said that decades ago. I’ll bet he isn’t thinking that now.
A 100% win-every-state outcome today, and with extremely high numbers, would make it evident that God has chosen His person to help Him fix America.
