I was watching. I don’t know if it’s disqualifying or not.... but gees... any politician ought to be smart enough to say “I don’t want the support of the Ku Klux Klan.” You know...

He already disavowed it once a few days ago when he was taking questions during the Christie endorsement.

He did eventually "disavow" Duke. So the ruckus is really about why he didn't do so instantly.

As we've seen in the past, this is going to have as much traction as a set of bald tires on the Alaska Highway.

He’s not a politician. In any case he said that he disavows him, I saw a video of his saying it and Christie was beside him and he said it. They want him to dwell on it and make it a fundamental part of his campaign messaging and THAT is what they are pushing for sonthey can paint him as a racist

Trump stumbled. But that doesn’t not make him sympathetic to the KKK. Truth be told, he was just reluctant to reject the support of anyone. He is not PC.

And once the light bulb finally goes on at lease renounce the endorsement is a way that doesn't make it look like you're renouncing it only because you're forced to do so. This is a Democrat campaign commercial in the making.

He doesn't trust them. I don't think he knew that much, and didn't want to be trapped one way or another. He got out, got his research done, and came out against.

This is a quote by Steve Scalise about speaking to a David Duke group. Scalise, former minority whip, and I believe now the Majority Whip in the US House of Representatives, DID NOT KNOW.

“Twelve years ago, I spoke to many different Louisiana groups as a state representative, trying to build support for legislation that focused on cutting wasteful state spending, eliminating government corruption, and stopping tax hikes,” Scalise said in a statement on Tuesday. “One of the many groups that I spoke to regarding this critical legislation was a group whose views I wholeheartedly condemn. It was a mistake I regret, and I emphatically oppose the divisive racial and religious views groups like these hold. I am very disappointed that anyone would try to infer otherwise for political gain. As a Catholic, these groups hold views that are vehemently opposed to my own personal faith, and I reject that kind of hateful bigotry. Those who know me best know I have always been passionate about helping, serving, and fighting for every family that I represent. And I will continue to do so.”
