I listened to it and at no point was the question, “Do you endorse the KKK?” or “Do you repudiate the KKK?”, asked by that moderator.
We all know that opposition hires David Duke to endorse people in every election.

HE said “I’m asking specifically about david duke and the ku klux klan” And trumpy said he didn’t know anything about David Duke.... doesn’t know him... yada yada yada.
Trump’s stereotype in his mind of the south is a bunch of good ole boys riding around with hoods on and going to klan meetings. He was afraid he would lose votes if he went against David Duke and the Klan. A typical politican, not wanting to lose votes.... in his case, even Klan votes.
